The property itself needs a huge facelift as the rooms being very small, looked old and beaten up. The entire property is in need of renovation to give it a fresh look. The staff were very friendly, helpful and very attentive. The location of this hotel is Amazing, being situated on top of overton hill overlooking the merseyside and Liverpool Airport. The hotel is surrounded with rolling hills with a golf course and multiple ranches with beautiful horses. The cleanliness in and around the property also needs improvement.

Hotels.com’s fault but there is a surcharge for using the pool and facilities; £5 each per person, per day. We were aggrieved as we chose this location for those reasons but were reluctant to fork out more after paying for a tired, not overly clean, not great condition, staff not enthusiastic about being there hotel. 🙄

Pool Charges / Dirty Sofa Bed

Charges to use the leisure facility/pool implemented from Jan this year. Price is per day so if you want to use it the evening and morning of your stay your paying twice. For our family of four it was going to cost £32. Nearly half the price of the stay. This charge wasn't mentioned pre booking. The hotel blames Hotels.com for not updating it and Hotels.com blamed the hotel. Room was ok but sofa bed was filthy therefore we couldn't use it, also no bedding provided for it. Staff friendly and hotel communal areas were well presented.

Cold shower

The staff we lovely but while I was there I had 2 cols showers and both single beds were broken. The legs of the bed were hanging off. I told the receptionist the next morning and they said the hot water cones and goes. Was awful

Ok but needs updating

Ok place. A bit tired. Had an executive room which was very spacious but in need of decoration. Was a bit disappointed when I was told I couldn’t get a table in the restaurant until later as they were catering a large group. Turned out to be about 20 people in the function room. Amazed they couldn’t accommodate a single diner as well!

Watch out- Extra £5 for pool use!! - Annoying!!

Booked due to wanting pool and hot tub. Annoyed on arrival to be told that will cost £5. Maybe petty but did t say a thing about charge on app. Apparantly says on their website but not on paperwork in room either . Room a bit tatty and dated bathroom Staff and food fine!
