The hotel was really nice and clean, super comfy beds, friendly staff. The pool area is okay but it’s located right across from the beach which is a plus. Much older crowd, I’m guessing average age was 70. Incredible breakfast buffet that was included!

The hotel looks lovely from the outside but my room was on the first floor which was so noisy, guests shouting slamming doors at 1am most nights. I had an infestation of ants in my room so had to be moved to another room on the 8th floor at 1am which was clean but wind howling thought the vents. I didn’t manage to get a good nights sleep for the 6 day duration. I witnessed vomit in the reception area and the service is non existent. The only way to get a coffee in the hotel is to get it yourself there is no waiter service. I would not recommend unless you are a group of guys on a golfing trip.

Would highly recommend on every level. Only one draw back, some rowdy golfer groups. Although this isn’t the hotel’s fault. Nothing too much trouble for ALL the staff. Great hotel.

Our stay was pretty good. We had a junior suite. There was nowhere to hang dresses, especially long ones, which I tend to wear on holiday. Otherwise it was fine. Dressing gowns were also provided and the bath towels are huge. Magic! The breakfasts were good, but evening meals a bit samey. We went out for meals for most of the week. Its a half hour walk to the town centre, but the taxis are reasonable. This is an estimate from an elderly lady. Younger people would take much less. A longer walk along the front brings you to night clubs etc. There are plenty of supermarkets local to this hotel and lots of seafront cafes and restaurants. The hotel has a huge swimming pool and a smaller one for children. It is all well maintained inside and out. A shop in the reception area and also a bar are very nice.

The friendly staff checked us in quickly and on our arrival to our room we fond a bottle of Cava and chocolates! This is my second stay (I had to bring my wife to take in the beachfront atmosphere and great location for exploring the shops, bars and restaurants along the beach walkway). We even walked to the castle! Thanks to all the staff at Occidental Fuengirola!
