The hotel was beautiful and very convenient to restaurants, pubs and shopping. Unfortunately, we were awakened constantly by an alarm on a gate behind the hotel. The hotel is located right next to a bus station, and every time a bus leaves the station, the gate would open and close. Other people in our family in other rooms experienced the same. Also on 2 of our nights, there were construction crews jackhammering near the gate starting at 9pm and continuing for hours. This is no fault of the hotel, but it was too much noise to sleep well.

The hotel is convenient to the tourist draws in the Latin Quarter but isn’t right in the noisy bustling area. There’s even a bar with trad music just across the street as well as the fun to be had with a short walk down to Shops street and the lively nightlife. I had a few problems with the room but staff were quick to fix them. Very responsive and also courteous and warm. Tiny room of course but great shower and bath. Ideal location and very nice feel.

Very convenient location. Close to the square as well as train and bus station. Staff were friendly and helpful. Not the fanciest location for the price, you are definitely paying for location. Are room wasn’t the cleanest but it was just minor issues.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Eyre Square! Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff was very friendly, welcoming and always helpful, breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect! 10/10 recommend for anyone making the trip to Galway!

The most expensive rip off we have ever had

I have done everything possible to complain to HOTELS.COM about this holiday but no response has been received . This hotel was advertised as refurbished. It was the worst value we have received anywhere in the world. I am planning to take further action as non of my complaints have been acknowledged . Some nights I paid £240.00 for this. I was expecting a delux room. The cheapest night was £186.00 . I just still cant believe it . It should have been advertised as in dire need of refurbishment.

The hotel and staff were great. The beds and air conditioning made our stay comdfortable. Unfortunately some of the guests didn’t respect the quiet times and quiet signs posted outside the doors. The breakfast and service were good. Some added food variety would be great. Overall we had an enjoyable time. You must check out the wonderfully designed bar.

Location was pretty walkable to almost everything! Loved that. We arrived really late and had a warm welcome by the front desk. I didn't realize until later that they had called me to check in about our arrival. I didn't have my cell service on. I was a little worried about our late check-in but they didn't seem to mind. Rooms were clean, loved the addition of the in room AC. If you can't do city noises, I'd suggest finding something a little off the main area as this was right in the middle of all the fun.

the room smelled like grease, and the AC was low, so when it was hot you had no choice but to open the window, which led to a higher smell of food and grease from the next door restaurant. It was impossible to sleep and our clothes had that smell of food and grease for days.
