Nice hotel but i wouldn't class it as a 5 star hotel. Could do with a refurb as the decor is quite dated and some areas could do with a deep clean. Lovely staff though.

Fabulous yacht hotel. Clean, comfortable with excellent bars and restaurants. Staff very friendly. Only 15 minutes walk from the airport too. Surrounding Marina also has a great selection of restaurants etc. plus easy access to Main Street and the excellent bus network. Was a shame the pool bar was closed for renovation but I’m sure it’s great when open.

The property is unique and well located - it’s beside a noisy casino and karaoke - ( noisy until 11pm) Otherwise room clean beautifully decorated we were in a suite at front of yacht so it had wonderful views.

Amazing staff

Arrived day later than booked as we were bumped from flight due to bad weather meaning flight would land in Spain, which passport wasn’t valid for. However, very welcoming when we did arrive, room was great and all staff were very friendly and helpful. Only downside was that the pool and deck were not available due to maintenance. This was very disappointing as it was one of the reasons we had booked this hotel. We were not advised of this when we booked or when we arrived.

Nice central location with lots of bars and restau

Enjoyed our stay on the sunborne. Shame the pool and outdoor bar wasn’t open as the weather was lovely. The details do state it is open all year round so maybe this should be changed. Kettle leaked and didn’t switch off and wasn’t changed even though we left a note. Not sure about the open plan bathroom. No outer door and glass doors on the loo and shower cubicles. Also smoked glass doors on the wardrobe thru to the bedroom!

As an Expedia VIP Gold tier member, I sent email to reservations who said that an upgrade would be given if available upon arrival. hotel reception disagreed and insisted they do not give room upgrades whatsoever despite the listing on Expedia having VIP access and my account saying I’m entitled to it and me showing them the email from their own reservations team confirming such We had booked two rooms and requested adjoining rooms so we could be close to our 14 year old. The hotel reservation team confirmed availability, yet on arrival the hotel reception wouldn’t do this either. No amount of discussing this would get them to budge. And it became embarrassing stood at reception having to try to stick up for what I’m entitled to and had been agreed with their own team. At this point I emailed back to the reservations team, but have not yet heard back (I am now home). I also contacted Expedia through chat, they were less than helpful telling me to discuss with hotel. The hotel was hardly full - judging by the amount of people at breakfast, dinner and in the bar. Plus the hotel pool & area was closed - leaving just one small area to sunbathe (with approx 10 sun loungers and a similar number of deckchairs. My advice is don’t book here. The only thing 5* is the price. The hotel has seen better days, customer service is far from 5*, breakfast is ok, food in Barbary restaurant is average, some amenities are closed despite Expedia’s information.

Amazing yacht hotel

Fantastic trip as always - amazing friendly welcome and shown to our room at 11am as on an early flight. Luckily the weather was fantastic so headed straight out. We were gifted 2 free cocktails and received a birthday bottle of fizz. Our only issue was not being able to use the pool facility as it looked closed for maintenance/ sadly we wasn’t made aware of this as took swimming wear to use this roof top pool. It hasn’t ruined the trip and we’ll be visiting again later in the year. As usual all the staff are so lovely and my birthday visit was outstanding.

It was a great location, buffet breakfast was great, hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The air conditioning in the room must be controlled, it was not cold enough even after they checked it and we had a hard time sleeping. Pool was closed so we couldn't use it and that was something we were looking to use speacially on a warm day. Wish the spa had a hot tub as well. I wouldn't call it a luxury hotel at all but it was nice.

Gibraltar visit on anniversary

Wanted to have a swanky stay in Gibraltar and the hotel didn't disappoint. Everything was great, especially the room, breakfast buffet and happy-hour cocktails.
