This is an old style, Mexican they still use carbon paper, carbon paper. The rooms were clean, but absolutely nothing fancy. The price was certainly inexpensive and it was really easy to get to the Central Plaza and the things you would want to see as a tourist. good value.

A great place to stay, excellent service, can't beat the location, very convenient, walking distance to, restaurants, shops, museums, historical buildings, etc.

The location is excellent. A few few minutes away from the Cathedral, plaza de armas, and many restaurants to choose from. I only wish the rooms offered a coffee kettle and a cieling fan.

We originally picked out this hotel for its historical significance and great location. The staff here for the most part are lovely and despite the hotel being older it is spotless. We chose a higher end room and we were given one right next to the elevator shaft which grinded up and down well past midnight. Between this and the street noise permeating the building we had little sleep the first night. In the morning we requested a move to a quieter room. We were told all the suites were in the same location. (?) The hotel advertises as the perfect place to swim in a pool or exercise. You will be doing neither as the pool and jacuzzi are unheated. As well four out of the six cardio machines are not functioning and the other two are poorly maintained. The whole fitness area is pretty well non functional including the tv. We ate in the restaurant once for breakfast. Our food didn’t arrive at the same time and we scraped the cold burnt toast to make it edible. After this we ate in outside restaurants. Upon awakening the second morning there was no hot water to shower……. Previous clients have also commented on the condition of the towels. We have to agree. They are more grey than white and need to be retired. All in all after two sleepless nights we checked out early taking a loss on the third night. The front desk wasn’t even curious why we were leaving. Do yourself a favour and do not stay here.
