The room was spotless and large, overlooking the mountains. The staff were amazing and extremely attentive always looking to be helpful. If the lobby is busy they still greet you at the door and lead you to a place to sit while waiting to check-in.
The onsens were extremely clean and tidy. One staff member was usually present in the change room to tidy up and restock and also to walk through the onsens to ensure people were following the rules. The views from both public onsens were 10/10 (they swap male and female public onsens overnight so both onsens can be experienced). They also have unlimited free vending machine ice cream.
Their dinner buffet may be the best thing I’ve ever eaten in Japan - I could’ve cried the first time I had their fatty tuna nigiri. I still think about the food at Tenyu weeks later.
When you leave the staff wave goodbye and bow to your complimentary shuttle bus. Amazing service worth every penny. I’ll be back for sure!
