This property needs to be removed from Expedia. The pictures of the rooms and front desk area are from a different hotel. This hotel has 3" thick security glass with a slot to exchange license/credit card.
1st room I was given: door was previously kicked in and mechanism reattached by 2 screws out of 8 needed to secure the the door latch/card reading mechanism. the door was 1" open to the 20 degree night and very unsafe.
2nd room was without heat and the security latch had been broken off and hanging in another apparent break in.
3rd room had a secure door and roaches in shower area, which I discovered in middle of night. We slept fully clothed and basically camped inside a room. In the AM my son's Jacket fell on floor and I put it on the bed. When he lifted his jacket, a large roach scampered away into the bed linens. Was it there all night or did it hitch a ride on jacket?
Lastly, there was garbage and personal items: tons of shoes and boots, garbage from takeout, old broken dish washing drying trays, old pots and pans, old bikes with flat tires attached to railings, etc.. I was so tired we had no choice to stay, but no-one else should ever stay in that hotel. It needs a visit from the Maryland department of health or some agency like that. It should officially be shut down due to safety and health violations in accoradance with laws in Maryland to protect the public.
I have never written a bad review in my lifetime but this is more like PSA.
