Everything exceeded our expectations, well, except for the pillows which were so soft they were almost non-existent! The hotel was grand but somehow cosy, spotlessly clean and well-maintained and the facilities were great. The pool was bigger than it looked in the photos although the slide was more of a shuffle! Games room had a table tennis table, a pool table and an arcade machine. There was a dart board and darts but the flights were too damaged to play with. The grounds were lovely to walk in, especially because we were lucky enough to be there when it snowed. Best of all were the staff who, without exception, were exceptional. They were friendly, attentive, helpful and went above and beyond. We'll definitely be staying there again.

Everywhere was very Clean, room.was lovejy and warm, staff were very pleasant, breakfast was great. Great loaction, cant fault the hotel. Great value, will certainly stay again when visiting Carlisle
