I stopped over here on my way down South. I found the hotel old and beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds were beautiful and it was only a short walk into twin. Lovely restaurants nearby. Price was excellent. A lot of older people and perhaps entertainment in bar wasn’t to my taste but all in all a very pleasant stay.

Our stay at the Cairn Hotel was very enjoyable. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Whilst the building is very old and a little dated it was very clean in public areas and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and sufficient variety for all tastes. Parking was easy and no problem finding space albeit very busy over weekend.

Good parking, 10 mins walk to town. Staff great, good cooked breakfast served on boiling hot plates at hot counter. Property is massive and refurb is always going go be ongoing reflected in price. Would stay again

Breakfast in dining room very busy with coach party. My waiter shone with personal attention to me on my own, despite the crowd, ,couldn't do enough to keep me topped up with toast and coffee too. I was very impressef and happy to reward him for his brilliant service.

We had the standard twin - the carpet and wallpaper were a little worn. But it is an old building and clearly updating is ongoing. We really did not mind as everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff were professional and friendly. Will definitely return and recommend to others.

This is a lovely, clean hotel based very close to Harrogate town centre. I always use this hotel when attending an annual conference at the Convention Centre. It is very convenient, only being a few minutes walk away. The hotel itself is quiet, and clean and the staff are always lovely. I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Harrogate town centre and I will be returning again next year.

Lovely hotel with lots of character

Really nice place to stay, perfect for our one night stopover to enjoy Harrogate the day before visting the Yorkshire Event Centre All of the staff we interacted with were polite and professional I couldn't give comfort full marks as the mattress was far too firm for me, resulting in back pain the following morning However after mentioning this to reception on check-out I was told this is something I could ask housekeeping to check before my next arrival so they can potentially allocate a room with a more suitable mattress for me The only fault with breakfast was cold toast
