Pros: The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast area was clean, spacious and a better complimentary breakfast than most other hotels offer. Cons: There was an unpleasant odor in some areas of the hotel. It was mild in our room, but still noticeable. The price seemed better than most, but when you add in the additional $15/day parking (optional), it is closer to what other hotels charge. The parking garage spaces were a little tight. The area is downtown, which made getting off and on the highways easy, but the area itself was dirty, loud, and felt a little unsafe outside the hotel at night. Also heard music blasting from the street a few times during the night, which awoke us from our sleep.

Check in went great! The desk staff that checked us in was so kind and funny. The night staff and the security were horrible. Rude. We came back from a concert and were whispering in the lobby while waiting for food and the security guard was nothing short of a jerk. I would never stay there again just for that fact alone. The room we stayed in had something wrong with the plumbing and the toilet would barely flush and the sink drained so slow if at all, but after the way we were treated when we got back we weren’t about to call and say anything. 10/10 would NOT recommend.

Good value for the location, with some flaws

Having just checked out today, I will attempt to give a full, unbiased review of this hotel to help you decide if it’s right for you. To start, the hotel is located directly across from the CT State Capitol and you can safely walk to a variety of bars and restaurants nearby. As others have mentioned, parking is $15 per car per night but is definitely limited. When I arrived, the gentleman who checked me in warned that parking can be difficult when coming back later at night. I got back to the hotel just before midnight and there were 3 spots left in the garage. So keep this in mind if you plan on being out beyond midnight. The biggest issue I had (that others mentioned in reviews) is the KEYS! I first got into my room without issue, but after going back to my car and attempting to re-enter my room, the key didn’t work. I had the key in a different pocket from my phone and it still got deactivated (presumably by my AirPods). So make sure you keep the key away from ANYTHING electronic. The bed was on the firmer side, as were the pillows, but I thought both were comfortable and I slept well. In the morning, the hotel serves free breakfast from 6-9 during the week and 7-10 on weekends. The breakfast was better than expected and had eggs, meat, potatoes, waffles, etc. For the price and location, I thought it was a pretty good value.

When we walk into our room we were met with an overwhelming smell of marijuana that lingered throughout our short stay. There were other peoples hair in the bathroom, and some questionable stains on the ceiling/walls. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the bathroom configuration was not convenient. The toilet is a public restroom toilet as opposed to a residential one so the flusher is that kick stick behind the lid and inconvenient to access. Overall, I felt gross in the room and I would not stay here again. Positives- the mini fridge is not your typical small fridge That you usually see in hotel rooms, and the coffee in the room was Starbucks.

Great location.

Great location, nice views. The check in staff were all great! Friendly, funny, and super helpful! The night staff was terrible! The security guard is the most miserable person I have ever met! The room was clean. The pillows are flat and hard! The bed was not comfortable. Not the worst place I have ever stayed. Perhaps they should rethink their choice of staff for the night shift considering its a job in hospitality!

I found this Hotel Okay All around. What l Didn't Like Was the Parking. It Was Definitely too Expensive. It Was Very Disturbing to Me to Watch a Tow Truck take a Maroon SUV on Tow it out. I Noticed the SUV had a a Uber/ Lyft Sticker on the Windshield. This lets you know that this person Obviously Uses their Vehicle as a Way to make a living. IF You have to Charge a fee for parking so Be it. However make it a reasonable amount. To Hear the Receptionist say "The parking lot is not our Property or we dont control this an that ls Ridiculous to me.
