Great dinner service.
Dinner and waitress were fab. The lovely lady who served us was so polite and attentive. The shower in our bedroom was old and broken. Had to stand almost on top of the taps to feel the dribble that came out. Also was lukewarm and couldn't turn up anymore. Room was cold and heating was slow, old and noisy. Our window wouldnt close properly so a constant draught and noise came in. Bed was comfy. Staff were friendly but rushed as so busy. Couldnt get a bowl for cereal at breakfast as had none clean and was told others in dishwasher.

We stayed here the night before a trip to the Harry Potter Tour as a family of 4.
We arrived quite late and therefore went straight to bed. Our room was on the ground floor near the end of the corridor (74). The room and bathroom were in good condition. There was quite a bit of external noise due to there being a ventilation system for the pool at window level about 10m from our window and the due to the window not being very soundproof. We were all so tired though this did not disturb us too much although this could be improved.
We went for breakfast around 8am and got seated with no wait. Myself and my 6 year old daughter are coeliac so we informed the waitress and she brought us a couple of allergy cards to write down what we wanted. She also showed me the allergy list for the breakfast which was clearly displayed on the wall near the hot buffet. The only item on the hot buffet that wasnt gluten free were the sausages, although gluten free sausage was available on request (as well as gluten free bread/toast) which was nice to see as it is not common to see GF sausages on a breakfast buffet. Jams/nutella/butter etc were all available in individual size pots which made us feel much more comfortable about any cross contamination risks. Schar gluten free cornflakes and muesli were also available.
We spent an hour in the pool. The changing rooms could do with a bit of a makeover. The ceiling tiles were damaged and facilities looked a bit tired and in need of a freshen up.
Appreciated the space in the family room and cleanliness - thank you to the cleaners!
Swimming pool area extremely in need of a refurbishment. Pool water was cold.
Reception area was welcoming. Food good choice but quality could be better/ more flavoursome. The hotel served a purpose as was close to Snow Centre.

Excellent hotel, we were pleasantly surprised by how lovely and relaxed this hotel was. Staff were super friendly and helpful. A big shout to the gym staff who were always super helpful and to the young man who cleared the breakfast tables with a smile and always willing to help. We were there for a harry potter weekend as was most families and it was a wonderful place to stay- great location and wonderful swimming pool and gymn to decompress after!
