The valet parking was a convenient and an easy option. The hotel location was fantastic being so close to the mall, shops and a chemist. We loved our meals that evening at the hotel restaurant. Our room was very solid and quiet, spacious and the bath towels were large and soft :) Can't wait to stay again

Booked 5 nights in 2 Delux Rooms, all prepaid through Expedia. On arrival they could not find our booking and the hotel was quite full. They then told us the booking had been cancelled despite us having receipt. After 2 hours they put us into 2 very inferior rooms, one right next to the noisy lifts, and both bathrooms smelling like a sewer. We had booked both rooms with a bathtub and King bed. Got 2 double beds in each, shower only, no bath or bathrobes. No bowls in the breakfast bar 3 mornings and the coffee machine kept on running out of milk. No tomatoes at breakfast for 2 days running. Had large unauthorised amounts charged to my Amex every night, still waiting to get some of it back. They should rename this hotel Faulty Towers.

Hotel is beautifully presented. The only thing lacking for me was natural light. There is a huge window that faces a concrete wall. Ok for overnight but not lengthy stays.

When checking in with a vehicle you only have 5 minutes to get in and hand your keys over due to parking issues. Staff will drive your car to a secure parking location for a minimal cost (valet). Room was clean, staff great. Room service was had as this was an option, otherwise book in to the Gnd Floor restaurant or find external options (plenty around). Great views, close to Salamanca markets and the wharfs/water.

Whilst the hotel is nice, clean and has its aesthetics it lacks in room size big time, so small, somewhat weird layout that just display lack of thought as you expect in room design to be done well. Lack of carpark means you over to vale and the wait that goes with it. Not a hotel I would return to, maybe more suited to a single traveler not a couple

We recently spent a week at Hotel Mövenpick Hobart. While the hotel’s central location and overall presentation were positives, there were a few aspects of our stay that fell short of expectations for a property in this category. Unfortunately, the room cleaning was inconsistent and not always completed to a high standard. We also found it very difficult to get in touch with reception, housekeeping, or the restaurant over the phone — calls went unanswered throughout our entire stay, which made simple requests unnecessarily inconvenient. Our room also had a persistent drain odour, and soundproofing could be improved, as we could clearly hear water usage and plumbing noise from neighbouring rooms. Overall, our stay was comfortable enough, but with better attention to housekeeping, maintenance, and guest communication, the hotel could offer a much more seamless and enjoyable experience.

Go for the location, not a quick breakfast

Location excellent in the middle of town, booked an interior room and it really did have zero light into it from the “view of the wall”, breakfast was chaos however and so be warned you need lots of time for this.
