We have been staying at Main Stay for almost a year now because of Medical issues and all of a sudden they have been putting us in crap rooms that are by the maids area and not what we ask for. We ask for 2 beds and they keep putting us in a one bed. The rooms has 84 percent humidity or moir it keeps my husband sick for weeks

It’s an older hotel and the fold out bed was old and in bad shape. There is no way I would have pulled it out to sleep on so me and my sister slept together, lol. The room was really small but clean. It was cool and bug free. We were there for two nights and had to ask for clean towels as they don’t offer daily housekeeping.

Nice notel

The motel was clean and the temperature in the room was great. The bed and couch were comfortable. Coffee was available all the time and it was good. Tea was available. They have a free shuttle that will take you anywhere within 3 miles. There is a small pool and a fitness center. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. This motel is very close to the Astros' baseball field and medical facilities The only thing that would have made it better is breakfast. I would recommend this motel. It was reasonable.

Uncomfortable stay

It appears that the hotel has a serious problem with a roach infestation. The insects were found everywhere—on the floors, walls, and even in the coffee pot! Unfortunately, veterans were staying there while waiting for their appointments at the local VA hospital. I cannot recommend this hotel in its current condition. I checked out and found another hotel.

This property is getting worked on. I hope it's to improve it. The shower faucet came off in my hand, and the shower had weird black marks in it. Very much has sketchy motel vibes. I felt like I was bothering the receptionist she had an ear bud in and was on the phone. There were pieces of the bottom base baord they had just glued to the wall popping off. I didn't feel safe leaving my room without my partner with me, when I did it was a very fast no detours to look around.

I needed this hotel because I had a procedure at the VA and all my other hotels were booked due to a soccer game that day. This hotel is so outdated, old and smelly. The parking lot was trashed, parking was terrible and the rooms were old and outdated. I arrived at 4:06 and there was a LINE out the door to check-in and it was hot that day. The room itself had tape on the door for the room numbers, the couch was old and smelled, the bed comforter looked like something out of 1920. The AC vents could not be adjusted so when you close the curtain at night, it went straight to the curtain. The microwave had what looked like mold in it that would not move when scrubbed. There were absolutely no amenities in the restroom as is the norm with most hotels, only soap. And there was no shower gel, just shampoo and conditioner. The television is so far away from the bed that I had to adjust the volume in order to hear it AND completely move the dresser in order to swivel the television for viewing, which probably disturbed other patrons so I could not watch television. The bed is also DIRECTLY next to the door in a bad position. The refrigerator door was filthy and took 4 cleanings with Clorox to remove the dirt from the handle. It did have a kitchenette however. This would never be my choice again.

I would rate this hotel a 5

In all honesty the area isn’t the best and neither is the hotel. It’s old and needs renovations. The staff was excellent. The room however had roaches and the pull out couch had a nasty stain on the bedding. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Good location

We stayed at this location so we could see a baseball game at Diaken Park. Overall it was great. They were in the process of renovating but it was done quietly, if I hadn’t seen the tools I really wouldn’t have known it was going on. As a sleeper who needs a fan, wish I had the option to have the AC fan run as well as cool.

Cowboy Carter quality

Absolutely enjoyed our stay, you can tell they were going through renovations but they didn’t let that get in the way and quality was still good. They gave us a super powered fan when the humidity was too much and our poor AC was doing overtime. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Absolutely would go back again.
