loved the outdoor patio for having drinks. They had a live guitar player and he was really good. The room was old, floors in bathroom cracked, stains on bathroom wallpaper and a thick layer of dust around. Other than that it was a nice place.

Overall the hotel was just ok. I would consider other options when traveling to Houston downtown. The downstairs area or the hotel was beautiful and clean and staff was nice. You can tell they put effort into the downstairs area and not the actual rooms. Several things. I came with a party with a total of 3 rooms in in which had many amenities missing. First my room was missing an iron, the door knob broke off from the bathroom and the bathroom space was so small! Two people can’t be in the bathroom at the same time. The common areas that should be cleaned were not such as mirrors and light switch had build up on them. The pillow case had stains. And my friend’s room they were missing a refrigerator and their bathroom was smaller than ours. I think for what we paid it wasn’t worth it.

This is a very nice, older hotel. The rooms are pretty spacious; the bathrooms less so. I was surprised to see that there wasn't a nominal complimentary coffee/tea service in the morning. And I was disappointed in the lack of good restaurants in walking distance.

Shower had lots of white residue and dirt when we first entered the room. Someone came to clean and it was still dirty afterwards.The toilet broke down three times. Told us we could move but would have to move exactly at that moment but we had a concert to go to so we couldn't at that exact moment. They were not accommodating and were not pleasant. Would not recommend at all. Shuttle service was not kind and accommodating either.

We hotel is extremely misleading. Once checking out there were several hidden fees and when asked about it, the receptionist was rude at check-in. Not worth it. At all. Will never stay at this dated moldy poor plumbing hotel again.

The hotel staff were amazing and so fast to help with whatever I needed. Great valet service too. It’s just the rooms that I was disappointed with. Very dated rooms and bathrooms. Bedding wasn’t the best either. I expected it to be a bit nicer for a 4 star hotel. Also the internet was extremely slow for me. I think for some people the rooms might be fine, but I travel a lot for work and I need to be comfortable in a newer modern room.
