Friendly and helpful staff. Food was excellent. Lots of choice for breakfast. Recommend surf and turf for evening meal. We stayed in single rooms which had everything we needed and were clean and priced competitively. Hotel is situated directly in front of the bay.
Nice stopover on amazing motorbike tour around Arran and Kintyre.
Comfy, if aged, room; decent food in restaurant and excellent breakfast (full Scottish, of course)
A reasonable stay. Good points were breakfast (fabulous) dinner (delicious) and comfort. Staff were both friendly and helpful though at breafast, you had to gently agitate for service. Price is competetive with other hotels but I think its too much. Demand and supply I suppose. I would actually go back, so woukd recommend
When booking in we were told that we were staying not in the hotel but an annexe building. The path to this building was obstructed by a rusty iron gate on the ground. The room had a Yale lock but no handle. The room had wall paper hanging off the ceiling, the shower was filthy and the plinth was missing. The furniture and carpet were stained. The room and bathroom were both very small. When we complained that the room bore no resemblance to the pictures on Expedia’s website we were told that the hotel was full.
However they did promptly arrange alternative accommodation for us at another hotel.

We stayed one night. A small room but clean. We sat in the garden for a drink. Breakfast was good, we did not eat in the restaurant for our evening meal. Excellent position and we enjoyed a sunny afternoon so a bonus.
Booked last minute due to the ferries being cancelled following day. Lovely cosy wee hotel. Dinner was lovely, the room was small but really nice. Staff friendly. Breakfast was lovely and the place had a lovely chilled atmosphere. Would come again

Staff were brilliant. Hotel was in a great location and had an excellent restaurant.
Lovely hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Food was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel had a great atmosphere. Only thing I would suggest is a shelf in the shower for shampoo e.c.t. Other than this perfect stay and would definitely return

Was here for my husband's 70th Birthday. Had a meal here the night we arrived which wasn't great. Soggy battered fish and greasy chips. The baked alaska was a let down too, the icecream and sponge was so frozen I couldn't get my spoon into it as the meringue had just been done with the gun and not in the oven.
Breakfast not that great either.
The room was on the top floor, absolutely roasting and airless - tbf the weather was very hot so could be forgiven. The drain in the shower room was smelly so had to keep the door closed. There was a problem with the power to the room so we had no tv, nowhere to charge phones or make a cup of tea and no way to dry my hair so couldn't wash it. Again that wasn't the hotel's fault, just unfortunate but definitely not ideal. On the plus side the staff were all lovely
We had the premier suite on the second floor overlooking Holy Isle Well worth every penny and the climb up the stairs.
Weather was superb allowing us to enjoy the gatden and the Tiki bar to the full.
Staff all pleasant, happy, smiley and efficient.
Scottish hospitality at its best.
I finally went back to Arran after 24 years and this hotel, the staff and the locals made my trip one of the best I’ve experienced. Travelling solo with a baby was always going to be tricky but they all made our lives so easy and comfortable. I’ve never experienced customer service like I did here, they really are amazing! Already planning to come back in a few months.
Fabulous location overlooking the sea; wonderful views of the coast and hillsides from the room we were given ; very helpful and efficient staff, including advice on buying goods made on Arran; tasty food including great seafood selection.
Looking out towards Holy Isle, this small hotel is a lovely place to stay when visiting Arran.
Staff were friendly and very helpful, food was excellent. The garden was perfect to relax in after a hilly round of golf! Highly recommended
