As far as transit hotels go, this is neither good nor bad. It’s just a place to get some sleep, but it can be pretty expensive for what it is. Because IST is so far out of town, they kind of have a monopoly. There are a number of hotels within a 10k range of IST that I would use if I got in with time to grab dinner. Still, it’s clean, and quiet, and if that’s what you need it will do the job. Staff were about as disinterested as possible though. Automated check in would be an improvement, unfortunately. As an aside, if you are on the domestic side, you can go outside of the terminal on the arrivals floor but you have to go through security on the departure floor to get back in. If you want some outside air, the wander over to the Mosque is nice enough. They are planning a big Aerocity for the area so the walkway over has a few features of interest and while it is not long at least it’s outside.
