The views from a seaview room and a breakfast restaurant were so peaceful and beautiful. The room was smaller than the pic but clean and cozy. There is a small supermarket a few steps away from the hotel. T1 tram stop and the Sultanahmet square is 7mins away. Staff were very kind and the breakfast was fresh and tasty. The only downside was that the hot breakfast was stone cold so I asked a staff member to warm it up in a microwave but was still lukewarm. Is hot food illegal in Istanbul?

We loved the view from the restaurant the most. The menue was very Turkish (authentic) and I got tired of it after a couple of days. The sink was leaking in our room and the room was changed after several reminders. A lot of people are smoking around hotel (including staff). The room that we got as a replacement, had a door into internal backyard. We could not open the blinds because there were smoking men just outside of our door. This was weird. The hotel is nice considering that it is in the old town, but there are a lot of little things that need attention (mold and stains in the bathroom, missing molding and etc.) The beds were really comfy. Also...this is very typical for Istanbul - you may live in very nice building and then have ruines next to it. The same with the hotel. Some buildings on the same street looked like ruins.

Walkable to all the key points. Outstanding staff and service. They went above and beyond to meet our needs and to make us feel like home. Many breakfast options ranging from traditional Turkish to continental. It was one of the highlight of the trip. Will definitely stay there when we visit again.

The personnel at the front desk is very friendly and helpful in arranging taxi transpota, giving directions for dinning , shopping , many other. I’ve stayed at the Yisam 3 times before & my experience has been acceptable. The only negative aspects I’ve encountered is that the bathrooms are very small. A small improvement can make it the best hotel.

The blanket size should be big enough to cover the body of an adult properly. The tooth brush provided should be of better quality - with softer bristles. Apart from these small things, really no complaints. Stuffs are super friendly, helpful ans welcoming. Overall a great stay experience.
