We had to have our room changed 3 times because of brown water in shower, rust in another shower tub too. The head manager was helpful. She was very professional and understanding. But coming from Connecticut and trying to enjoy our engagement was a disaster since we only had a few days there

This was our first time staying here, and we really enjoyed it! The location made it super easy to get to Fremont Street and The Tube. We were a bit disappointed that the upstairs pool was closed—it sounded like it was just due to low activity, which felt a little strange and unfortunate. On the upside, renting a car through the on-site Budget office was quick and hassle-free. Overall, it was really convenient having everything we needed right in one spot.

We LOVE staying off the strip... it's less expensive and like old Vegas. The Nugget is centrally located and has an awesome pool. The water slide is epic and shoots you through an aquarium at the end. If you have kids (or kids at heart) you'll dig it :)

We loved the golden nugget. The style inside is cool and kinda of 70’s feeling but classy and well kept and clean. I’m not fond of kiosk check ins, there is one person at the desk but there will be a line up. It is right on Fremont street which is pretty much always a party and super fun so easy to have fun and walk around there with some drinks and stuff to watch just outside through the hotel doors on one side. Not sure on the maids regular protocol but I don’t think they came into our room the time we were there as bed never was made or garbages emptied, not a huge deal, we did put the garbage in the hall when I needed to be emptied though.. Overall would love to go back!

Right on the Fremont strip. Lots of food options and everything is walking distance. Room was not completely clean and had several things broken or not working and the bathroom smelt like cigarettes Everytime the fan was turned on. Let front desk know and they were supposed to send a maintenance guy and no one ever showed up. Keep in mind rooms are dated and hotel is old but still a pleasant atmosphere.

Do not stay in the Carson tower. The Joan of Arc church right across the street rings bells starting from 7AM, every 15 minutes. At first I didn't know what the provided ear plugs would be for, I quickly found out their purpose the next morning, promptly at 7AM. GN should buy that church and demolish it.

Our room was terrible. The bed mustve been about 15 years old and the bathtub had rust in several areas as well as muliple cracks in the tubs. We noticed there was an almond in entrance to one on the elevators on our floor upon our arrival, it was still there when we left 4 daus later. It was clear they dont xlean the common areas.

Great rooms, bad fees

I thought they made resort fees illegal but guess noy. Each room had over $200 in resort fees for a 3 night stay. Thats a third of the price of the room. I feel like this is just a way for the hotels to show one price to stay, then stick you for the rest as a resort fee. You get nothing for thay extra money. Maybe they should take some of that money and clean up the panhandling vagrants everywhere!!!

Wonderful stay

My first time staying at Golden Nugget. Completely a wonderful experience. Would stay there agian. I usually stay away from downtown over saftey concerns, but it this hotel was safe and clean.
