We are familiar with Ameristar properties, but this was my first time staying with my husband and two toddlers. The front desk was friendly and helpful. We did have an issue with our room, so they quickly accommodated us. The restaurant staff were friendly. Room was nice and comfortable. We missed the card that said housekeeping wasn't offered daily, but that was our fault. The mini refrigerator was great for keeping milk and food cold for our kids.

There was vomit on the ground in front of the greeting bench that stayed there for the entire 2 day period we were there. The men’s bathroom nearest the train car was dirty and unattended. Two of the stall door latches weee broken. The casino overhead music was inappropriately loud. I’ve been a patron of the Ameristar KC for many years and it sure seems that this property has simply deteriorated over the past few years

Received wrong room that was booked. Booked a river view room without a connecting room, received connecting room with view of parking lot and bean field. Also through the week most of the restaurants are closed so very limited to what you can get.

Nice hotel, but long walk to your parked car

The hotel is very nice, the room was comfortable and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly. The hotel is a little noisier than typical, perhaps due to the attitudes of the guests having fun at the casino. The parking lot is ENORMOUS, and since the casino valet parking lot is directly in front of the hotel entrance, you can expect a LONG walk back & forth to your car out in the parking lot, particularly when the casino is busy.

After a room change still have sewer gas smell in our bathroom which is disgusting.mechanical person came to fix it with spray ( kind that you use for household ) Two young men at front desk finally moved us when I requested it. Feel like Expedia customer s don’t count here. Would not book here again based on thiscexperience
