Bad sleep

The people at the front desk was awesome. So friendly and fun. The elevator is sketchy. Bounce and shakes. I could hear every noise in the building. Walls are thin. People talking in rooms next to me in hallway could hear as clear as day. Was not able to sleep in due to noise. I mean so clear I knew the names of the people by us. I could hear through the wall every time the elevator moved. Probably the worst hotel for sleep.

We were there the weekend of the big snowstorm, and considering the fact that most everything around town was shut down, the hotel was able to take good care of everyone that was staying with them at that time. The staff that made it in, we appreciated every one of you.

There was construction going on right outside the room. If we had been warned, maybe it’d have been ok, but it was going all night. Beautiful view of the city though. Loved watching the sunrise For as “nice” as the hotel is, front desk staff was not very friendly

I've stayed here twice for work. Great location, walkable, nice views when stayed on 18th floor. The rooms, bathroom in particular is a lil run down and I'm not a fan of how close the bathroom door is to the toilet seat. I wish the bathrooms had fans so it doesn't get so steamy in there when showering. Deposit for incidentals is great, $50 which can't be beat. Parking is $25 as a guest. The food in the restaurant sucks though. I've ordered the top sirloin and it was dry and unflavored. The burger was super salty. The latte, meh.

Convenient to events. Room was really expensive. Reservations made 5 months prior to date with 4 adults to occupy, but the room was extremely small with 2 queen beds pushed against the walls with a small 2 seater settee placed between. It was not what was expected considering the bill was $1049! I will look for other hotels when in KC again.

From the moment we arrived and found that the garage said full, and there was no place to park or stay was horrible. We had to leave our car on the curb to go in and register and get a card key to get in the garage. The room was spacious, but had no furniture in it one sofa in the sitting room and the bed in the bedroom. there was a very giant walking closet, but the bathroom was the size of a cruise boat. The grout in the bathroom was dirty and the sofa in the sitting room was from the 1950s and filthy. I do not recommend this hotel.

The description of amenities was deceiving. - NO shuttle service - room phone was not connecting to front desk or room service - the TV had no service through the whole stay, no channels were available and when asked to switch room, the receptionist said they were fully booked without a compensation option - the water from the shower and sink felt like slime - you could hear the elevator running all day in the room - the room was never cleaned and we left early morning and retired late evening

For the price this hotel is terrible. Definitely not the Crowne Plaza I remembered from in the past. Very shabby and rooms are lacking. Plus was charged an extra $50 at checkin and not really sure why. Staff quickly mumbled something about incidentals but didn’t really explain so I could understand.

Very convenient for events in power and light area but parking is a disaster if you are checking in during a busy time (ie check in time or any time on the weekend)
