As a female travelling alone my priority was to feel safe, which I did. I didn’t want to spend a fortune but wanted a nice hotel. I travelled to Euston and was meeting friends in Kings Cross so this hotel was perfectly located being within walking distance of both and not off the beaten track. The hotel has a welcoming lobby/bar, and staff were friendly. I paid £175 for a basic room, which was just that, but importantly it was clean and the bed and pillows were super comfy. My room on the 5th floor faced the street so I could hear traffic, but it didn’t bother me. I was pleased to have a fan in the room as it was hot weather and being on 5th floor, fitted restrictors meant the windows could only be opened slightly. There was a separate toilet and the bathroom was tiny. The room had a safe, plenty of plug/USB sockets and the hotel provided an iron and ironing board as soon as I asked. Breakfast felt a bit like eating in a canteen but there was plenty of hot and cold choice, even though I didn’t arrive to eat until half an hour before breakfast finished. It was particularly useful that my room was ready early on the day of check in and that check out wasn’t until 11:00. I was able to leave my suitcase at the hotel until the end of the day after checking out. All in all I felt it worth doing a detailed review as this hotel ticked a lot of boxes for a budget stay and although I am a bit of a fussy customer, I was quite impressed.

Great bar and comfy bed perfect !

Extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Quiet room which was not over main road was excellent . Cant fault bed and pillows, slept amazingly well which is rare in London. Very nice art deco bar with goood inhouse restaurant. Good selection at the buffet breakfast. Will certainly stop again. If I have one comment of negativity its that the bar service could be more efficient and attentive .

If you enjoy hearing all the sounds of the city while being in your room with the windows closed, this is the place for you. The room was hot and we couldn’t open the windows because we wouldn’t be able to sleep with the noise. Even with the windows closed, we had to sleep with ear plugs in.

We had a great stay at Tavistock. The room was fairly small, but perfect for two adults who mainly just wanted to roam around London. An easy walk to the British Museum, and easy transit to everywhere else. The place was neat and clean, the staff was friendly and professional.

Lovely Hotel Close to Eurostar Station

Solo traveller 1 night stay en route to Eurostar Germany. My room was upgraded from single to king size. I only slept here for few hours b4 Early train. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel bar and restaurant looked nice sadly no time to try. 10 minutes walk to St Pancras King's Cross. Very close to Euston Russel Square etc. Lots of small supermarkets nearby. I had a room overlooking the square was very quiet. Very clean and comfortable. Would recommend.

The hotel is good price , good location , walkable to UCL, good front desk , Toilet wasn’t clean , previous guest mess was still there ,very gross. Towels are not white , few spots Generally with the price , it’s not bad .

I stayed 6 nights in a park view room. The view was beautiful. The room was clean and well equipped. The hotel staff were really polite, friendly and helpful. The Woolf and Whistle restaurant was a very cozy place with good food and relaxing atmosphere, a very nice place to spend a peaceful evening after a busy day.

Very good hotel, very small bathroom

This hotel was clean and modern, and the staff was friendly. The only drawback for my wife and me was that the room was small and only one person at a time could fit in the bathroom, which slowed down the logistics of getting out of the hotel each the morning and going to bed at night. But that may be unavoidable in hotels in central London.
