A wonderful authentic Ryokan establishment. The attention to every detail to ensure a great experience was present in every aspect of the stay. Truly a special experience and amazing stay.
Very nice place, we were so grateful we got to this ryokan. The open public bath has amazing mt fuji view. The dinner and the breakfast were so delicious, we finished all the food.
We stayed 3 nights. What i didn't like was that the hotel only provide Kawaguchiko Station pick-up between 2pm & 5pm. Beside, the mattress was thin & you're sleeping on the hard flooring ...not used to it as it causes backache when you wake up in the morning. Moreover, there's no AC during our stay and they provided a fan for the room air circulation. On the good rating, the staff are conscientious & diligent. The half board breakfast & dinner menu are different on each day.
We loved the view of Lake Kawaguchiko, the outside soaking tub and the room. The suppers were not only huge, but delicious as well. They don't cater to food allergies, so both my daughter and I were limited on a lot that was served, but what we each were able to eat, was delicious. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room showed signs of 'wear', but otherwise, everything was great! We chose this location because it wasn't near all the tourists and we used a taxi to get to and from the Kawaguchiko station. It's wasn't an easy walk, but we chose quiet over conveince.
Great traditional inn experience. Tons of staff who were very nice. Difficult to learn all the rules haha. The shuttle to the train station every 30 minutes in the morning was very convenient, though I wished it started earlier than 8am and that breakfast could start earlier than 0730, since beating other tourists to tourist hotspots is a huge thing in Japan. Plus, we were already up from watching the sunrise each morning on Mt Fuji. I was worried how to get across the lake to watch the sunrise, but this place was walkable! Maybe took 20-30 minutes brisk walking pace to get from hotel and across the bridge. I would recommend pre scheduling a taxi pickup at the hotel early in the morning if you want to visit the popular pagoda view—long line later in the morning.
Warning with the food, my husband and I are adventurous eaters, and there were some very exotic or not exactly tasty things in the hotel meals BUT there were so many dishes that you definitely could have a nice meal and get full. The meal experiences were beyond fun.
Also did not know swimsuits in the onsen were “not allowed.” Had no problem making a private onsen reservation upon arrival to hotel—I think there’s only one private one and it looks directly at mt Fuji. The gender segregated public baths switch lake/mt views morning/evening. There is a rooftop for viewing mt Fuji as well.
Sleeping on the floor was no issue! We had an extra mattress pad in our room that I used though. My husband had no issue with 1 pad
Staff are friendly and polite, the food and the view of Mt. Fuji was amazing as well. The room and hot springs are clean and comfy. And the free shuttle bus services provided are a massive help to our journey.
We had a wonderful, relaxing, traditional stay here! The staff were incredibly nice and the meals they prepared for us were amazing. The room and views were calming and beautiful!
This property is on the Mt. Fuji lake , the staff’s are very friendly. They will make you and your family “feel like home “ .
It’s an excellent hotel for the family . The staff is amazing and welcoming. Thanks to Nagese for taking our care
Excellent view of Fuji from rooftop. Wonderful service. Great half board (breakfast and dinner). Hotel has free shuttle service to and from train station. In room onsen is definitely a plus.
