Great location, many bus route options to and from core areas like Arashiyama and Gion (1min walk from the hotel onto the main road). Right beside a convenience store. Right across the street from a grocery store. Main Street beside the hotel is one of the main shopping strips that connects Nishiki Market. Be aware no outside food to be eaten in the lobby. Base room includes a wall bench short table and stool where we’d enjoy small meals.

The hotel was super dirty. There were multiple stains in the washroom. In addition, the sink was broken. The towels were yellow. Moreover, the staff told me I couldn't eat at the table downstairs, while other people do it, it's fine. Don't book this hotel!

Disappointing but fine

When we arrived, we were given a room that clearly hadn't been cleaned. There were splatters and stains all over the walls and furniture. I asked for a new room and we got given it immediately, which was great. I will say the pictures are deceiving...we had a miniscule room with a window that looked at a wall. Good location for being central.

Good hotel but must have mobility.

Whilst aware of hotel distances from the subway, one especially feels the effort of moving luggages from hotel to subway to train station. Several bus stops around hotel vicinity. Be prepared if you want to stay here. Rooms are clean, new but small. Typical of Jap hotels.
