I loved my stay at Hotel Tou Nishinotoin Kyoto. Very friendly staff. I had the Japanese breakfast option each morning and loved it. A nice hunk of fish, with a satisfying omelette, and some Japanese porridge with some delicious toppings. Cold hojicha latte, I drank about three each morning. Onsen was peaceful and lovely.

The hotel was gorgeous very Zen vibe. My only complaint was the bed was very hard. We both tossed and turned all night. It was so hard my body was sore!

Beautiful hotel. Our room was really spacious. Convenient to walk to shops and eateries near by. Staff were very helpful. Hotel also had a wide range of toiletries to chose.

The room itself was the most uncomfortable I can remember. Small and cluttered. I am presently on our next leg of our journey and the difference is night and day. Kyoto hotel has nice staff an reasonable amenities but room comfort is exceedingly poor. Location is good for Kyoto Station but not for city
