Great place

We have been coming to this place for many years & staff is always great along with maintenence and house keepers! Enclosed Pool area is safe for kids .

It was clear that the staff here works very hard to keep this facility clean. I'm sure this hotel was once a fantastic destination spot on the river. But now it is a run down, out dated crappy hotel. The pool looked green to me! The rooms and over all facilities were old, worn out and barely maintained in my opinion. The worse part was the towels and linens. The linens (bed spreads) were worn out and in poor condition. The towels were GROSS! everyone of the towels I looked at was stained, some were pretty bad. I will never stay here again. AmericInn by Wyndham should be ashamed of themselves for letting this once premium property decline into a terrible hotel.

Hot tub baby time machine

Was great. Hot tub was always packed though with infants and small children. I feel there should be an age requirment on who can be in the hot tub. Other then that the stay was great and staff were nice.

Found a rusty nail on the stairs of the kidde pool. Luckily saw it before my grandson stepped up. Someone came into our room before check out. Went to complain and the front desk and the “owner” states that anyone could have put that nail in the pool and that it’s there policy to check rooms so they can clean before check out times. She refuses to even speak calmly, she escalated me to a place of being extremely upset. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Refused to do anything to make the situation right. She only made it worse. Do not stay here!!!

Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Free breakfast was pancakes, toast, prepackaged breakfast sandwiches, fruit or yogurt. Not good for a diabetic but the coffee was really good. Points for not having plastic lids but I didn’t see any recycling receptacles.

Our room was not the cleanest. The lamp on the bedside table hadn’t been dusted in forever. There was a spider in the bathtub and a big dirty crack in the bathroom sink. The refrigerator in our room had a huge chunk of ice growing in it. The breakfast was just ok. Would be nice if they had fresh fruit.

Cheap but Horrible

When we checked in the person working was smoking weed....the whole lobby just smelled of weed. No elevator, got into our room and there was small bottles of shampoo and conditioner which were both empty, toilet paper roll was empty--beds were very hard along with the fridge. Went to the pool the one day and there was garbage everywhere, along with kids running around with no parents, splashing and running laps around the hotel. the hot tub was cold shouldnt even be called a hot tub.

Pro’s: Staff was super friendly and helpful. Rooms are big and clean. Pool area is fun for the kids. Cons: Try to avoid a room by the pool area. It tends to get really loud with people running up and down the balcony/hallway. Breakfast was ok. Wish it had more “hot” food options. Some items in the room needed replacement (we had some broken hangers and dirty carpet) Overall an ok place to stay. Price was great, rooms were super clean and spacious. Just some small things need to be adjusted.
