Affordable, lovely, gem

Lovely, family run place for a very reasonable price. The little mini houses are spacious and we’re perfect for our family of 5. The place is just a 12 min drive from the airport and features an excellent restaurant on premises.

Good, but somw improvement needed.

The stay was good, but we dis have some issues with thw air conditioner (not working for 1st two nights). There were a couple of days when the pool was not clean, and the last week or so, the jacuzzi was filthy. That is not acceptable. The owner's dog was often lose around the pool area, which was ok for us, as we like dogs, but might be a problem for other guests. This was our 2nd stay at this hotel. The first time we were thrilled. This time, we were a little disappointed. We were put in a room that was not really a separate bedroom/living room, no separate AC for the bedroom, so if bedroom door and storm type shutters put down to separate rooms, the bedroom was too hot. This "new" room needs some work. Also, parking for hotel guests can be an issue when the restaurant is busy.

Home away from home

The four days that we stayed at Quinta de Santa Casas Barbara, we had everything to feel like home, the comfort, space, kitchen, view, peace, quietness, very clean, private, well situated, very friendly, and location. I hope to return back again, but for a longer stay. I do recommend this place, you'll feel welcomed. I can't find anything negative about this place. They have a restaurant, but, unfortunately, we didn't have the change to to try it, we're mostly raw vegans, and we did hear good comments about the food. We want to thank the staff and owner for the perfect stay, it did really felt like home.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Very quiet, away from the noise of town and yet very easy to get to the highway and the grocery store. Other than the hot tub not working, everything else was as-expected. I would stay here again, no worries.

Vacation as it should be!

You would never know this little jewel existed. It is secluded, quiet, tropical feeling, a beautiful restaurant, small and quaint. On vacation we like quiet, clean and fun. Convenient to most locations. The worlds most friendly people, we were totally spoiled. Loved it and plan to return.

Amazingly Comfortable Stay in the Azores

We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. Despite a snafu encountered with our check-in time, we found that we couldn't offer enough positive comments about our stay. The property is beautiful and replete with all the essentials (i.e., apartments with fully stocked kitchen, beach towels, snacks, rain shower head, and toiletries; swimming pool; sauna; Turkish baths; gym; and restaurant). The owner really thought of everything! There were three people in our party, and we were comfortably accommodated in the apartment with 2 twin beds and the full sofa bed. Next time we visit Ponta Delgada, we will certainly stay there again.
