Don’t stay here!!!

The room was very dirty. There were clothes that someone left behind still. There was no microwave, and I had to ask for soap at the front desk. The person behind the counter was rude. Did not even greet me. There is for sure some type of drug dealing from this property.

There was no trash can, no Kleenex, no coffee. The bathroom door knob didn’t connect let alone lock. There was no hair dryer and the tub/shower looked like it was attacked by a paint ball gun. I paid through Expedia but charged $60 for I don’t know what.

I love the convenience of the motel and the free breakfast. The toilet flushed slow and wound flush all the way unless you held the handle down. The room was clean. The proposed dirty. The pool was cold and had dirty in it and trash.

Do NOT Stay - filthy

It's a very run down trucker flophouse. Do not recommend. The sheets looked like they were covered in body fluid, then someone poured pure bleach on the stains & those large stains were now seeing through from the bleach. There was another large stain that looked like urine & blood on the bottom sheet which was tucked into the bed, we didn't notice till morning. We both slept in our clothes because the room was disgusting, but we were too exhausted to drive somewhere else because it was the middle of the night & we were driving across the country.

I have stayed here before with no issue. The previous stay was nice, the room was clean and quiet. This time around it was far from that. There were A LOT of sketchy people hanging around in the parking lot, some flying a drone around, and being quite loud. The outdoor trash bin was overflowing with garbage. The inside of our room was more run down and dirtier than the last time we stayed. If it makes any difference, the first time our room was towards the front of the property. This time we stayed on the back side of the property.

My Mom has Dementia with additional symptoms appearing as the Dementia worsens. We planned a 2 day adventure. We drove until dark. Then I booked us a room at Rodeway in, on my phone, through Expedia. The booking had a “no refund” notification. Which I wasn’t concerned about. I had booked the room for that night and it was only 15 minutes away from my location. I drove right to Rodeway Inn. My Mom waited in the car while I checked us in. I pulled up and parked in front of the door to our room. My Mom said, unexpectedly, I’m not going in there. When I asked why she said she didn’t know if the sheets and blankets would be cleaned properly. I tried to explain how the cleaning was done. Also, how inspections were done to be sure that requirements were met. Otherwise, the business would be fined and/or shut down. My Mom was insistent on not sleeping there. She wanted to sleep at home. Which was a 2 hour drive away. I stopped at the front desk to explain this unusual situation and ask if I could get my money back. The representative said I would need to contact Expedia. So I did. I was being so patient with my Mom. But considering the possibility of no refund was so frustrating. Expedia rep. said I could send an email to the manager or the Expedia Rep. could do it. I asked the rep. to. I drove the 2 hours back home. Expedia sent emails to the manager of Rodeway Inn, who replied that no refund would be given. Under the circumstances this is unreasonable.

I had a reservation for Saturday night ( 1/11/25 ). Upon entering hotel, no one was to be found at or near front counter, we waited for like a good five minutes. Once staff appeared, the check in process was horrible! I initially handed him cash as my form of payment, however I immediately changed my mind and decided to use my debit card instead. I kindly asked for my money back but staff was not ok with giving me back my money. I literally had to demand my cash back! To make matters worse, once I found the room I was assigned to, imagine my surprise finding a man inside!! At this point I hurriedly left and went back to the front desk. I explained to staff about the gentleman in the room I had been assigned to and was basically told I was lying!! By the end of it all, I informed him how unhappy I was with everything and that I would be calling Choice Hotel about my experience there, at that point he offered me a refund and was left with no room for the night!! Worst customer service EVER.
