Property was beautiful and very well manicured and maintained. Buffets overall were very good - lots of choices. Specialty restaurants were awful - most were just another buffet - with seating. And the cook to order was terrible - all done in advance under a warming cover - tough meat - poorly cooked. The best specialty was the Mexican - and even that was partially buffet. Understand when catering to thousands but don’t advertise as specialty .

There is no staff that comes around and picks up dirty plates or dirty cups. Therefore, the pool area is littered with stuff. All of the tables are full of garbage. Tiles are broken around the pool I fell. I witnessed another woman fall. The staff saw it. Didn’t ask if we needed help or anything basically just made fun of us. Like they say you get what you pay for.

Very clean. Staff were friendly. Wish there we more service based restaurants. Steakhouse required you to get in line at 4:30pm for reservations but did not open until 5:30pm.

The customer service everywhere was great the whole place was excellent . We only had a minor issue with the housekeeping department. When we got to the room the shampoo and conditioner were almost out we ask for refills and we had to call twice . Unfortunately we did not bring those items do we have to wait a long long time . Other than that well recommended to all our friends

Me and my family went to the riu Santa Fe and had the most amazing time! Boys 5,9 always had stuff to do, the resort is huge so it takes a whole day to get to know but once you do it’s perfect. There’s all adult areas that o found were tucked away and didn’t affect the family atmosphere at all. You may hear a bit of music in the background but it’s minor. For adults there’s you party’s 4 days a week with music and a foam pit. I attenended 2 of them and it was SO FUN. If you’re looking for Ana foldable get away this is the place to be! The food was also amazing, sooo many choices in the buffet as well as restaurants. We didn’t even check out 2 of the restaurants cause the buffet was so good and what my kids mostly preferred! We just got home lastnight, and we’re already planning our next trip!

First time in Cabo. We really liked this resort. Not a huge property—very walkable. Only ate at the buffets which had a ton of food choices. It’s not fine dining but the food was good. Staff at meals were nice and helpful for the most part. It helped to tip and then have the same waiter for follow up visits. The service definitely gets better. Night time entertainment for families was ok. But we were usually tired so it wasn’t a big let down. The pools are great. Really liked the infinity pool at the beach. You can set up there and easily move between the ocean and pool. Self serve draft beer at the pool was a nice amenity. The beach is beautiful and clean. The water is a brilliant blue. Rough surf so you have to be careful swimming. But it’s the most pleasant ocean water I have ever been in. Had a massage on the beach. 30 bucks for 30 minutes. Fantastic. Also booked a snorkeling trip at the hotel. It’s in the same bay so it was quick, only about 2 hours and a lot of fun. Gym is very nice. But very crowded each morning. Would stay here again.

After reading some reviews, I was a little reluctant to book this trip. However, we went ahead with it anyway. Our experience at the Riu was very positive. The hotel is clean. The location is great, and the food was better than expected. There were negative reviews about flies that had me concerned, but we found no issue with this at all. The areas where the food was kept have mostly been closed off, and this was no longer an issue from my standpoint. The ocean in front of the resort is not really swimmable, however, there were people braving it most days. To clarify, it’s not that the water is bad, but the surf and undertow are very pronounced. The only thing I would say that needed improvement was bug control in the rooms. There were these little centipede type bugs that were pretty prevalent on the floors each day. This felt like something that could’ve been addressed at least to a degree better than what we had. However, even with that I would definitely recommend this hotel and resort. The staff was excellent and overall the accommodations met our needs.

We noticed the shower in our room had not been completely scrubbed and that's something we really value; other than that, the food in both breakfast buffets was uncovered and we did notice flies on the food, but oververall our stay was ok.

Called a head of time to ask for crib, reminded hotel during check in and it was promised to be in the room. Went to dinner, swam and arrived to room without out a crib. requested crib and didn’t not receive it till 4 phone calls later asking for updates. When finally delivered we can hear something loud in the hallway, turns out it was a lady dragging the crib of course waking up my kids. Similar situation happened with the iron. Except I never actually received it and instead asked my sister to let me borrow the one she had in her room. Major inconvenience. I also called for toilet paper 2hrs before check out. Called twice. Never got it delivered. Food was terrible quality and flies everywhere. Bar did not have top or even mid liquor. I can keep going, but these were my major concerns.
