Lovedale is a place with heaps of cool stories to tell. If you feel like your life's been a bit dull lately, a trip here is the perfect answer!

It lies 350 kilometres to the northeast of Canberra, Australia's capital city.

From the second you enter the Allandale Winery, you'll know that your holiday has truly started. The Gartelmann Wines is another excellent place to let all your troubles melt away.

Sitting 85 kilometres to the south, Copacabana Beach is a terrific spot to spend an afternoon enjoying lovely ocean breezes. Magenta Shores Beach is also home to some lovely views. You'll discover this piece of coastline 65 kilometres to the south.

Mother Nature's artwork can be witnessed in multiple places around Lovedale. Just 35 kilometres away, Blackbutt Reserve is a superb place to begin. Hunter Wetlands Centre sits 35 kilometres away and is another ideal spot for some downtime.

For a peaceful spot to sit yourself down and read a book, you can't beat Hunter Valley Gardens.

Sports enthusiasts won't be left out in the cold during their stay. Newcastle International Sports Centre is 40 kilometres away in Port Stephens Council and the perfect place to get your sporting fix. Make sure you check the event calendar to find out what's on.

How do you like the sound of the Oaks Golf Course and Carmichael Park? These fantastic sights are in Nulkaba, just 5 kilometres south of Lovedale. Or perhaps the Cypress Lakes Golf and Country Club and the PepperTree Wines appeal more to you? To visit them, travel to Pokolbin, 8 kilometres west.

The Entrance, 65 kilometres to the south, may be worthy of a day trip. Use it as a port of call when swinging by Blue Bay Beach, the Magenta Shores Golf Course and Swadling Reserve. If you need more convincing, other nearby attractions include Toonwoon Bay Beach and the Magenta Shores Golf and Country Club.

From the middle of Lovedale, it's around 130 kilometres to the south to Kingsford Smith International Airport (SYD). This is the nearest airport. Remember to allow yourself ample time to make your way there so you don't miss your flight home.
