Excellent location close to everything. There’s some construction in the street in front of the hotel, which may impede transportation to or from the front door of the hotel. Breakfast is decent but probably not worth the price.

The Room Mate Alba is a great hotel in the lovely barrio de las letras in Madrid. It has all the conveniences of being near the main tourist attractions in the city, while feeling like a quiet escape from the crowds. The rooms are soundproofed, the AC is great, the breakfast amazing and the staff are lovely and helpful. Highly recommended.

The hotel is “funky”. The decoration is dark. The room was comfortable, clean and the bathroom small but nice with a great shower, but the decor a bit peculiar. The location of the hotel is terrific, but we had a hard time finding it because it is on a pedestrian street.

The hotel is amazing, very large and modern rooms, incredible staff and service. Walking distance to everything and plenty of restaurants surrounding the hotel. Although there was construction directly outside the front and jackhammering all day, every day until early evening. That was the only downside.

Very comfy bed, big bathroom with good shower, room decorated with a nod to opulence. Front desk team very helpful & kindly spoke English for us! Good location, 10 minutes walk to the Prado and El Retiro Park and so many tabernas & fooderies around. Didn't hear any nightlife noise in the room that we were in. Would stay again.

This is a beautiful, luxurious hotel in the old town, near the Plaza Mayor. All the amenities (including tons of electrical outlets!) were exceptional. Our room had a sweet Juliet balcony overlooking the street — which was romantic, and not as noisy as you might expect, given the touristy location. The attached bar/restaurant is cozy (if the Sangria is a bit expensive) and we highly recommend the morning breakfast buffet. It was the largest we’ve seen in Europe, perfect for Americans used to a big breakfast!

Great location, I'll be more than happy to stay here and within Calle de las huertas. You can get to most of the tourist destinations within Madrid within up to 20 minutes. There exist more hotels that are closer to Plaza Mayor but trust me, you don't want to stay super close to it. This hotel is in the Goldilocks zone from there. Staff was extremely good.

From the friendly welcome, allowing us to book in earlier than expected, to the extra help finding a lost item, the customer service at the hotel was exceptional. The decor is beautiful, the room comfortable and clean.
