Noisy and Dated

We booked what we believed to be a special room facing the ocean with a balcony. Huge mistake as it overlooked a club that hosted a rowdy noisy crowd of people until 2am the first night of our stay. Despite ear plugs and a sleeping pill for jet lag, no rest was to be had. The facility and rooms are dated and the entire facility needs modernization top to bottom. The air con wasn’t operating properly in the hotel restaurant and we needed blankets while eating. The location overlooking ocean is great but the hotel and surrounding venues did not lend themselves to a relaxing get away.

Service at check in was excellent. An older staff member served us on reception and she was a delight! Rooms were conveniently located and very clean. Hotel is due for a full renovation and not all rooms yet renovated. Breakfast offering was in need of an update in keeping with the ihg brand, currently very basic. Overall a good stay.
