Second stay here at the Falstaff in Canterbury, my favourite hotel in town, gorgeous rooms, lovely staff, and the free cheese and biscuits during happy hour can't be understated. Also you can tell a lot of a place in what they think of their customers by the quality of the bathrooms and the soap they use, The Falstaff exceeds all expectations, thanks for another wonder stay.

Friendly staff comfy room

Impressive checkin service, great dining option at reasonable prices topped off with. Great big comfy bed and amenities. Breakfast was different as I was asked for name rather than room number and my leaving luggage was put safe so I didn’t clutter the dining room. Food has been excellent and what you’d expect from a MPW menu. Step above wher I usually stay at the sister hotel in Dover.

I recently stayed at Shenandoah House while visiting family nearby, and chose it because it was pet-friendly and had such excellent reviews. I’m so glad I did. From the moment we arrived, we received a genuinely warm welcome from Jim, who immediately made friends with our dog. The room was clean, comfortable and thoughtfully set up. The cooked English breakfast was honestly one of the best I’ve had, and the breakfast room itself was a great bonus, with a fridge and microwave available for guests to use. There’s also a lovely garden, which Jim is happy to allow dogs into. Parking was on street with no restrictions, and the area itself was very quiet. The location is ideal, the beach is just a short walk away, the station is nearby and it’s an easy, pleasant 15 minute walk into the main centre. Overall, it truly felt like a home‑from‑home experience and offered great value for money. I’ll definitely be booking here again.
