First I want to say that overall the stay was very good and me and my girlfriend had a good time at the hotel as a whole. What I didn't like was the hidden fees attached to everything including to the food and drinks they provided in our room. How do you provide a bar in a room but charge for using them? An umbrella for shade on the beach is $30. It just seems like the hotel catered more to the party goers than the actual guest of the hotel. I paid for valet services and that was $75 a night. We were leaving to go catch our flight home and a huge party at the hotel let out at 4am. We waited 30 minutes for our car and barely made it in time to catch our flight home. I had to call the front desk to get our car because valet was trying to get the party goers cars. They charged me $1000 for incidentals and said the hold on my credit card would not be released for 5-7 business days. The fees and the prices alone have caused me to never consider returning.

Absolutely Terrible Experience — Never Again I rarely leave reviews, but our stay at Fontainebleau Miami Beach was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share. First off, the service was horrible from start to finish. From staff to valet, it felt like no one knew what they were doing — or worse, they just didn’t care. When we checked into our first room, we were disgusted to find blood stains on the sheets. We immediately requested a room change, which they did accommodate, but honestly, that kind of oversight is completely unacceptable at any hotel — let alone one that charges these kinds of prices. We were guests for 3 nights, 4 days, & we were told by the front desk that we could access the pool without our room key by simply giving our room number and name. Even a manager confirmed I was fine to use the pool bed I was on. But multiple employees kept bothering us and telling us we had to leave because we didn’t have a key, even after verifying our reservation info. It was incredibly frustrating and embarrassing, like they had zero internal communication. Valet service was another nightmare. Rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. They didn’t seem to understand anything we said when it came to coming and going with the car. But the worst part? On the day we checked out, we got our car back to find the plastic on our door window cut and ripped off. We asked to speak to a manager and were told to file a police report. No accountability, waiving the $75 fee wasn’t an option.

Gorgeous property. We did encounter some issues, however. 1) The elevators are a real problem - it took sometimes over 10 mins to get back to our room. 2) The rooms could have been somewhat cleaner and the decor is rather tired. 3) Some of the areas of the hotel were remarkably crowded.

Expensive, poor service

Very large hotel, our room was late being ready but we were able to store our luggage. Check in was slow for a hotel this size they need a lot of staff. Everything was very expensive - Valet is $100 a day. Ate outside of the hotel where possible. Suite was very nice but the sofa bed was uncomfortable and had to ask at reception for bedding. Overall nice hotel but too busy and too expensive.

Honestly, service wasnt the best this time around. Especially in the kiddie pool section. Valet lost our car for about an hour and we missed dinner reservations. Cant be great everytime but with a place of this caliber you expect nothing but the best service.
