Travelodge by Wyndham Gross with Crap Service

I booked a room with 2 queen beds for an overnight for 4 adults and 1 child. I received a confirmation from Hotels.com AND the hotel confirming a room with 2 queen beds. When we arrived, the room was suddenly a “suite,” with 1 king bed and a pullout couch. Upon checking our room, the pullout couch was not made up. We pulled it out AND THE MATTRESS WAS FILTHY. Also, bedside lamp covered in dust and rust. So we asked for the room that was originally confirmed, with 2 queen beds. At that point I was told I had booked a room with a king (I still have the confirmation from Hotels.com AND the Travelodge, which show 2 queens) and all the crappy place could do was move us to another room. So we checked the other room. When we walked in, an employee was LAYING on the couch. Pulled that couch out, still not good, but we felt there was little we could do. Couch still not made up AND not enough towels for 4 adults, so on the way out to enjoy Milwaukee, we asked for bedding and towels. At least we got those-dumped on the table in the room. Couch NEVER made up, even though we were 4 adults who had asked for 2 beds. Towels also dumped on table, not put in bathroom. And, for the record, pullout couch was crap. Travelodge and Wyndham bait and switch-DO NOT TRUST THEM, DO NOT BOOK THEM.
This is the lovely mattress on the pullout couch in the first room.

Bathroom was a disaster. No grab bars in the shower. No bath mat. Did not take a shower. Too dangerous. Toilet installed at an angle. Ridiculous situation.

Very disappointing!

Very disapppointing! We were in town for a funeral and chose this hotel becasue of the location. The condition and cleanliness of the room was not acceptable, as my photos will show. There were no bath towels or bathmat.The beds were good, the front desk was adequate. We will not be returning to this property!

Me my wife and kids and very much enjoyed ourselve

It's always amazing we enjoyed our stay it's my favorite place to come to been coming there for the past 8 years a place to get away from all the crazy people and be able to relax the beds are comfortable it's a clean environment and I'll especially love the patio is the best thing to me and I will be back

Holey mess.

When we walked in three staff members were sitting in the lounge. We waited 5 minutes before someone told us the receptionist would be with us soon. The WHOLE place smelled liked weed. I woke up in the middle of the night gasping for air, because of cigarette smoke. There was hair stuck in our towels. The TV didn’t work at first. We had to try several input options. The walls had holes all over the place. There was hair in the shower and the drain was clogged. The sheets and bedding were clean and that was the most important. It worked doe the night, but we left asap and will not return.

Well i had a problem that they didnt have customer privacy. I thought they weren't allowed to let people know that you were staying there. To me this is a big issue for me. Ive never had that problem anywhere else i stayed.

First of all the pictures on the website was very misleading. I was not satisfied with this hotel. The smell was terrible as I entered the lobby. The service was even worse. The smell of cigarettes smoke and marijuana was all over. Bugs everywhere in the hallway. There were people sitting outside as if they lived there. I have never experienced this with an hotel backed by Wyndham before.

Status of bathroom needs to improve

We arrived late and the desk person was great! However when we got to our room and looked in the bathroom we almost called down to complain. The tub was of a style not even made any more and at first glance looked filthy ... was actually almost rusty because it was so worn. The drain plug wasn't even there. The shower rod holding the curtain was loose and nearly falling down. Other than that the room was clean, the beds comfortable. At least there was hot water.

There was hair on the bathroom floor. A quarter of a roll of toilet paper and no extra roll in the room. The carpet was sticky in places and it smelled of incense.

The property is undergoing improvements, but little is finished. Sliding doors dont latch/lock, many curtains are torn and dont fit right. Exterior has poor appearance. Interior halls are nice, room had some upgrades in bathrooms and lighting, but carpet is very dark blue and gives the feeling its dirty. Are condtioning works but you wonder if its ever been cleaned. Staff was excellent and very helpful when room was to be determined to be insufficent. Great staff, questionable building. feeling. Air cond its dirty
