Nice accommodation for its proximity to hikes and the national park. The property is a bit dated, but overall a nice stay.

Disabled room was terrible for able bodied, no vanity, tiny sink, one bedside table, no hooks in bathroom. Limited ambiance in buffet dinning area. We ordered a bottle of wine at 9.30pm, were told we couldn't take it out of the bar to our room after 9pm. We sat to drink in bar, then the staff started vacuuming and cleaning around us, weird! Building structure is amazing, fit out is old (not in a good way), needs an interior designer to take a good look at it and soften the furnishings etc. General comment is was a solid 3 Star at 4/5 star pricing, no show stoppers but plenty of small things, felt like management might be absent?

Amazing views and good selection of dining options. The room we had was in the original part of the hotel and located under the staircase which was not ideal as the stairs creek. Otherwise a great spot at the base of Mt Cook.

Eddy from Front desk, was extremely professional and friendly. Our housekeeper on first 3 days was professional and friendly (sorry didn’t get her name) This was our third stay at the resort. Next time, want to try the Cook Suite. Like to see a bathtub in plus suites. I would pay more. The shower (water) pressure in room was low. (useless) Not water saving if it takes you 10-15 mins for a shower - if you want us to take 2-5 mins. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
