This hotel is in the prefect area in between the quarter and art district. Dinner options and shopping options are great. Internet was fine, transporting was easÿ enough to get to or get picked up. The construction going on around the hotel was a eye sore but not a deal breaker but some of the homeless people around the area was a little sad and some of the smells around the area were bad, but inside was clean and very nice had a cool vib and friendly staff.
Other hotel guests were very loud- music blasting in rooms at 8am and slamming of hotel doors. Woke up in the middle of night to drink water and saw a rodent run across the floor. Hotel lobby has a very strong incent smell that was super overwhelming. Staff were very pleasant however wouldn’t stay here again
The worst experience! Black mold in bathroom, the shower was filled with black. The sink wouldn’t drain. There way no safety in the building anyone and everyone were just walking on the elevator no need to scan the card to go on any floor . it was by far the worst experience I have ever been too super unsafe
Beautiful, trendy room, comfy beds.
Drip in vent above toilet never attended to.

Liked: Staff & service
We stayed at this hotel when it first opened. It was cool, clean and had a good vibe - happy people, customers and staff.
This time - the hotel is run down, stains on carpets, dirty front windows and curtains. We only encountered one employee and she was wonderful, but seemed to be running the hotel by herself.
There was one person working. She was checking guests in and was the bartender. There is no iron in the room. Rooms are the size of a small closet. Hall carpet was filthy. Hotel needs renovation. The outside looks like 1970. Highly disappointed.
Not only was the hotel and staff excellent but a particular staff member made sure our stay was delightful. Her name was Taelynn . Our overall stay was amazing.
The Moxy was in the most convenient location and walkable to everything! I enjoyed the entire staff and especially Tre he was the most helpful and always pleasant each time we saw him! I truly love the fact the hotel has a bar which was so nice and extra accessible activity stations such as a pool table and games present. I know for sure I will be staying here again.
Some much to write, little space! Rude staff on check in. Spoke to Manager L Cotton next day, she was great! Rooms were not cleaned, just beds remade. Desk was left dirty, dirty flannels left in bathroom. Sink plug did not work properly, light continuously flashed. The worst thing of all was the rats! I came out of the hotel one night and one ran past me directly outside the hotel. One of the staff saw and asked me if I was afraid of them. He then showed me where the infestation was, feet away from the main entrance in the bin store area. I instantly saw 5, some were huge! Saw numerous rats after that. Housekeepers seemed angry but were personally nice to me. My friends who checked in on another booking were left without towels. I had to give them some out of my room. Overall worst experience I’ve had in a hotel I’ve stayed in this year which is around 40 hotels in numerous countries. My friends checked out early and went to a different hotel.
Positives
1) My room was upgraded and was a decent size but it wasn’t cleaned. My friends were in a tiny room where you had to squeeze past the toilet to get to the shower.
2) Manager seemed to listen about my concerns regarding the room staff member at check in.
3) Pretty central hotel in an area around everything HOWEVER better hotels locally that were much cleaner. I know this as the one my friends moved to which was immaculate.
I’m not that fussy and this is the 1st hotel this year I would not return to!
