Upon checkin, they didnt gave the king size bed we booked through hotels.com. The receptionist said that because we booked through a 3rd party that they can't guarantee we would ger what we booked. Hotels charged us and the hotel charged us so were charged twice. The hotel appears to be dated and rooms were not very warm. Almost as if it was bare and not welcoming. We left the hotel and stayed at another hotel instead.
The Barnett is convenient, classy and well stocked. The location and rooftop Pool is key in NOLA. Easy to do anything in the area, great staff and food.
I booked a room with a balcony, they were 'sold out' and told me that a reservation is not guaranteed in room type when you book third party. then went into the room where a random man tried to get into my room, he asked when I checked in since he was 'just in there' then when I went to shower, the bathtub hadnt been cleaned. neighbors were very loud, walls were paper thin. nam, the bellman at the end of the trip (after checkout) made up for it by helping me walk my bag to my next hotel a few blocks away. (no one helped or offered to help me with my bag upon checkin) also theres no room service, also the incidentals are 200 dollars a night instead of the typical 150.
Front staff were very nice and attentive.
Unfortunately on our way to the elevator a mouse went scurrying by. Told the front staff, they seemed indifferent.
Floor of room was very sticky. Also floor was very old tile, needs to be replaced. It would have been nice to have a comfortable chair in the room ( 2 small wooden chairs were in the room) and a nightstand between the beds would have been nice. I used the wooden chair as a nightstand.
This hotel is very cute, fun eclectic decor, multiple restaurants bats, and a cafe, and is in a great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are cute and spacious even for a solo traveller in a king room. The bed was clean and cozy, but it is quite firm so if you like a firm bed then youll like it. Highly recommend this place!

Loved the convenience of the hotel, it has a beautiful restaurant and bar, rooftop pool & bar with amazing views, and the staff is wonderful! Loved our stay at the Barnett on a packed weekend. Only small gripe would probably be the beds are more on the firm side and the orange floors. But all the perks well surpass these minor inconveniences. Will come back to the Barnett again!
Didn't like the idea no chairs in the room rather on the patio.. Didn't have a microwave!! Wasn't informed of the hotel perks.. Like no taxes on food at the hotels restaurant and or bar..Easy check in and out. Great location, friendly staff, hotel was very clean.
