I had been in touch to get a refund for the second night I checked out the toilet was leaking I mentioned it they said they’d sort they didn’t taps where loose just things you shouldn’t have to put up with at 120 ish a night
Polite and friendly staff, unfortunately they don't serve food but we're happy for me to order in from some of the many restaurants located on the same road. Clean room with en suite shower and toilet. Very good value for the money.
Room was small which was fine, toilet had old urine and pubic hair on so cleary hadnt been cleaned, good job i had wipes, shower fluctuated from scalding hot to ice cold so couldnt have a proper wash, stains on the bed sheets n wat looked like crisp crumbs in the bed, the mattress was very old, springs bulging so no sleep, checked out at 6.30am as no point being there, only was the room was warm
I booked hotel for the Great North Run. Due to travelling a distance, I confirmed in the morning that I could check in m, in the evening. This was agreed as not a problem. On arrival at 21:30, I was told I had to stay elsewhere. Information about the accommodation was sketchy, but I worked this out to be student accommodation on the other side of town. Staff stated this was due to a power cut. I checked the national grid website; this clearly showed no issues. After about an hour of discussing, it was clear that the room I had booked had been given away. Speaking to another ‘guest’, the same has happened to them. Eventually I was given a room at the top of the building, probably a staff room.
Oddly, I was also asked to give £10 in cash as a deposit. The same other guest was not asked…
I felt unsafe throughout my stay. I would not recommend and will not be staying again.
I saw the awful room said no. Was shown an equally awful room and told as I had booked online no cancellation was allowed. I tried contacting Expedia on the app and got nowhere.
The rooms I saw were not acceptable to be called hotel. Hostel rooms maybe.
Really disappointed with Expedia for having this on their site.
You cannot be listening to customers. I had checked the reviews on site on saw 7 and 10 . Don't know where they stayed but not in the same place I feel.
Possibly the worst hotel I have ever been in EVER!
Possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Staff were friendly enough but this hotel is a dilapidated, run down, uncared for place.
1. Rain ingress through the window frame. In room 204, the bed is directly under the window, so being woken up by dripped on (which soon became worse) was not pleasant experience. So much so that I had to move the bed and set up water collection where the rain was coming through. Pictures below.
2. Damaged electrical sockets
3. Carpet had been burnt in places
4. No wardrobe
5. No Chair to use as chairdrobe
6. There was a chest of draws, but filthy
7. Loo roll holder MIA
8. Holes where things have clear be broken off
9. TV had crack right across the screen
10. Mattress was knackard, with springs making for an uncomfortable nights sleep (on top of being woken by rain ingress)
If I hadn't been so worn out from the travel and Great North Run, I'd have left.
If I could offer anybody reading this some advise, consider the points above before booking
Early check and no charge.
Small double room which is good enough for a night with ensuite. Good electric shower.
Road facing with no curtains just blinds.
One window had no handle to close it properly. Looked like the radiator was only on one bracket and had alot of dust all along the top.
Tea making facilities were there with an old lcd tv on the wall.
Clean bed with a couple of pillows.
The car park is charged at £5 but the cost is not mentioned on the advert just that charges apply.
The room wasn’t ready for check in time, despite us arriving 1 1/2 hours later. The locks in the room didn’t work. There was 0 plugs in the room. The whole room was of poor quality. Bed was like sleeping on bricks. The walls were dirty. The breakfast was advertised but not provided. The communal bathroom at check in doesn’t have a lock and the light flashes. Definitely not going back again!!!!

Friendly and courteous professional staff, very helpful and friendly approach.

Place was cheap which was good, ok for money I suppose though cleanliness was iffy as were amenities in room eg socket not working, tap iffy, window blinds really dirty…
Heating was definitely working, room was piping hot lol
