Relaxing stay

Lovely hotel. Good room with comfy bed and functional bathroom. Great breakfast included, but evening meal was a bit too salty for us. Great gym and swimming pool. The Spa is really good so do book an afternoon treatment.

Lovely hotel great location, well tended grounds

A lovely stay in a beautiful hotel in a great location, friendly and helpful staff and a wonderful gym and swimming pool. I was disappointed with the bar prices, we paid £6 for a tiny bowl of mixed nuts, £10 a pint and £8 for a small glass of wine. It was a treat for us both and overall we enjoyed our stay and met with family who live locally. Thank you!

Bedford Hotel and Spa Hotel

First time visiting here, reception was a joy, very helpful and informative. The room was very good with comfortable large bed, bathroom had Moulton Brown products, amazing. The bar had a lovely well serviced log fire. We dinned in the restaurant the first night with the intention of dining out the following night. As Newmarket has some very good restaurants. But the meal was so good we dinned at the restaurant the next night also.Breakfast was also very good with plenty of choice. The pool, sauna and steam room, topped off a wonderful stay. The place was very well kept and the staff made it an enjoyable stay. We will definitely stay again

Disappointing experience

- The bathroom taps were broken, and kept on falling off. The water was either too hot or too cold, therefore we were unable to shower or bath. - The room was cold. It felt like the window had been left open all day, and with it being -1 outside, this meant we were cold for a majority of the time as the radiator didn’t stay on for very long. - We were unable to use the leisure facilities the following day as we weren’t notified that we wouldn’t be able to use these after check out. We planned on using the facilities post check out, but were informed by the leisure staff that we weren’t allowed in. When paying such a high price, I feel very let down with this. - The leisure facilities also did not live up to expectations. They look very different to the pictures and the staff made us feel very unwelcome, particularly the man working on the evening of 2/1. He was very abrupt, rudely emphasising to us that we needed to return the key, implying that we wouldn’t. It also made us feel particularly uncomfortable when he was looking through the window of the door through to the pool area. It felt very much like we were being watched.
