Quick and easy check-in. Historic hotel that is Nice, clean and near everything. Friday night Jazz was very nice. Unfortunately breakfast is not included. Walking to the north tower where the room was located was a bit of a walk. The hotel restaurant was unfortunately closed the evening we had planned on eating dinner there. We went down to dinner at 8:20 to find a sign on the door notifying early closure at 8. Unfortunately, we then had to find another place and found that almost every other place closed at 9. Other than that it was a nice stay, very clean, and close to pearl street.

On the National Historic Register - get that; however, this place is overly tired and dated for a $300 night stay. Proximity to Pearl St is a plus, but not worth this asking price. Carpets (and much of the public furniture) just look gross - worn and dirty. Room furniture and decor, a/c, bathrooms are all laboring and dated (and a/c loud). Our Premier Queen was closer to a Double. Funniest thing was that from the front door to our room we had to take 20 (yes, 2-0) right angle turns through the labyrinthine layout. It is possible to preserve history yet welcome the present - it just takes spending some of their room profit. BTW, service in the restaurants was 4/5 stars; front desk 2/3.

This was a fantastic property, so glad we decided to stay. We booked 2 nights in a queen room. There were so many little touches that made it a wonderful stay: the friendly, helpful staff at check-in, the valets who truly hustle, and the chocolates on the side table in the room. The hotel is gorgeous, clean, and has so much charm. We went to License One Speakeasy for live music and a comedy show, and the Corner Bar for dinner. The waitstaff at Corner Bar deserves a special shoutout: when a sudden storm flared up, they moved all the outside diners to tables inside - didn't miss a beat, and even comped one of our appetizers because it got rained on. We loved that the Pearl Street Mall was easily walkable, and that it was a short drive to head out to Boulder Mountain for hiking and scenic drives.

Highly recommended.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. From the vallet, restaurant and bar. Front counter was excellent. It was close to the sunrise amphitheater where my daughter was married. I highly recommend it
