Got in bed and a bee was under the blankets. I am allergic. We called down for help and the front desk staff claimed they did not understand even though we were using a translator. Told us they couldn’t help and then hung up. Meanwhile my foot swelled and I could not walk on it for the rest of our stay. This is abuse.

I have stayed here twice and having really enjoyed my stays both times. The restaurants and the room amenities are great here. I prefer the pool at the Riu next door that we are aloud to use. The only thing is it doesn’t have an actual lobby bar to hang out at after the evening shows. The evening shows are same as any other resort I’ve stayed at.

The hotel is old/ but the vibe and activities were good. The taxi fee to and from el malecon which is like downtown area was around 50 USA just one was so the location was not worth it. I would not recommend if you want to visit the malecon often

All over is good but new experience they don’t have any lotion and conditioner in room . This resort rooms looks old need more renovations to look more better . Food is excellent but same menu everyday.Staff is friendly but most of employees don’t under stand English. Gym equipment very old and cleaning and washrooms need renovation and cleaning person should look after well we noticed no hand soap in both men’s and ladies washroom one weeks. Entertainment is excellent. Service is great.

I know this property is up for renovations soon. It’s clearly a bit run down. A/C in rooms is so-so. But the rooms are generally adequate. Staff work hard to keep it as clean as they can. Hopefully updating the building will make that easier on them. Overall, we had a great time. Food was wonderful. Staff was even better - always friendly and helpful. Grievances: poolside palm umbrellas in disrepair leading to a seagull defecating on me while lounging. Staff knocking on my door and waking me up asking if I wanted my room cleaned in spite of the do not disturb door hanger on the knob. Generally a declining building. But… these were minor compared to how much fun we had here and how amazing the staff generally were. Whoever the woman staffing the Felipe poolside bar for June 9-11 and 13… she was an absolute workhorse and deserves praise in the highest order

Our stay was great. Service was great, especially Alonso in the buffet and Victor in entertainment. What we didnt like: one day we forgot our key so went to the lobby to ask for another key. It wasnt secure at all. All they did was ask our room number and then said our 2 names. Felt that anyone could do that. I feel that they should check the bracelet number to the room. Very unsafe. Or do like Sandos and have the keys built into the bracelet.
