I've stayed at the Marina Inn several times. It is clean, comfortable, and convenient to OAK airport. Their "continental breakfast" is satisfying. Homemade cookies in the evening. I plan to stay at the Marina Inn again.

The spa was broken.I selected the hotel for the therapy. This is the second visit with the spa broken.I think they should at least offer a discount or a credit. I will stay there again.

The marina this overlooks is now defunct and falling apart. They charge $18/day to park a car, info that seemed hidden to me when I booked. It is a crappy, uncovered parking spot and $18/day is ridiculously overcharging. Free breakfast is almost all prepackaged/processed food. (I did get a banana though). I would not return.

This was our 2nd stay here within 6 months. This time we opted for a room overlooking the defunct marina.Room was clean and we booked this hotel because of its free airport shuttle which was fast and efficient. Our junior suite was spacious with a nice balcony. If you are a light sleeper, don’t book a room overlooking the marina because you will constantly hear the roar of the planes arriving and departing Oakland airport all night long. The free breakfast is not much of a breakfast at all. This visit didn’t have yogurt as they did on our previous visit. It was a good value for the money but be forewarned that if you park a car here, the parking fee is quite expensive. Finally, I don’t like that they charge $100 security deposit, even when booking with Hotels.com and you have to wait several days before the credit appears on your credit card statement. I really did not like that they placed that charge on my credit card before my arrival and even before the free cancellation period had expired.

On March 10, 2025, there was one of the receptionist with glasses that's a petite lady who assisted my boyfriend & who went up to the room & ask him if he needed room service. Receptionist don't go up to anybody's room knocking asking for service. He already told her that he didn't want room service & 20 minutes later, the receptionist goes up knocking in the door & ask him if he wants room service. She's unprofessional for her to go up there asking that question and then wearing a clothes that shows her chest. That's inappropriate, unacceptable for her to be going up there asking for service especially when he already said he doesn't need any. I don't know her name but she assisted me before & I don't appreciate her doing things like that unprofessional, disrespectful, individual.

Disappointed but not terrible

Room was clean. Workers were friendly. Bed could have been more comfortable but wasn’t terrible. However I was unable to get WiFi in my room as advertised and the front desk lady was friendly about it but unable to fix it. Pool/hot tub are out of order, gym has a few treadmills but minimal strength training equipment. Breakfast is bare minimum with oatmeal cereal fruit, no protein. 18 dollars per day to park which I did not read the fine print so was surprised by this but either way is ridiculous as this hotel is not even in an urban area. Many homeless/rvs nearby and several cops following someone while I was there. Once I was in my room I felt fairly safe and there was a security guard patrolling the premises throughout the night. Was disappointed in this hotel overall as I felt it did not live up to the advertisement.
