We absolutely loved spending our 42nd anniversary at Ashore! It was a new to us OCMD hotel (and we’ve stayed at lots!) but it’s truly a hidden gem and we will definitely return! Our room was very clean and beautifully decorated, as was the entire resort. We had dessert and drinks at the Taproom which we really enjoyed. The outside pool hot tub decks corn hole fire pit and steps to the beach are wonderful amenities!! 5 stars

The staff was super friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay! The food was delicious; we ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel. The private beach was a plus, with first-come, first-served beach chairs and towels. We will stay here again in the future!

We found this hidden gem last year and went back 4 times. It was amazing. We usually stay at Hilton’s. This year it all changed. The service was stiff & rude from the very beginning which was our favorite part last year. We asked for early check in but still waited two hours with no explanation. They don’t have an indoor pool which we knew but they do have a beautiful covered bar area that we loved last year over looking the beach and this year they didn’t allow us with our children there. Offering cocktail service is a big deal to us and this year it was a very poor experience. The menu has also changed and the items are very plan and normal compared to the past year. Many mistakes made on our order that we brushed off but then they would charge us anyways for their mistakes. Drinks were inconsistent and took very long. They also add 20% without notifying and we are 30% tippers so they got us there this year as well.

Our room was not ready at check in time and it had not been cleaned at check in time witch was 4 pm they rushed to clean and left it dirty the bathroom had hair all over it and was never swept or wiped down. Floors were never cleaned. And no trash bags for trash asked for some and never got none so all our trash had to be piled up. Then there were extra fees added at the end of my stay . Will never book with them again

The property was beautiful. The staff and service were terrible. Went to there to get serenity for Father’s Day weekend. Ended up being terrible. Had to go to the front desk five times and get maintenance to come fix stuff in my room and was never addressed in the front desk, staff told me that they would update me or call me and let me know what’s going on. Nothing never happened room wasn’t cleaned. Like I said property view is great but the staff is terrible no manager on site bad experience. All I wanted to do is have an ocean front view and relax for Father’s Day weekend and experience. Just the sounds of those and hitting the beach. I attempted to sleep and leave the screen door open so I can hear those sounds which I all I wanted to do is have an ocean front view and relax for Father’s Day weekend and experience. It was awake at 3 o’clock in the morning to bug bites and stuff crawling on me for the investigating looked at the balcony and the screen door was completely cut wide open. Spoke with the front desk next day and they said they will fix the issue and they’re sorry. nobody fix nothing maintenance came up and said he’ll see if he had something another screen and never returned. Never updated nothing so I had to sleep through the whole thing another night which I didn’t open the screen because it was rip.

Bedding was terrible. The king size mattress in my room was missing about 5 support slats in the base....so had a terrible nights sleep before gaving drive 500 miles alone. The check-in was delayed about 30 minutes on a Friday.....not just for me but other guests as well. My question is did they have that many guests on a Thursday for the syites not to be ready on a Friday. White area rug under bed was really dirty. Poor hotel management. I will never use this hotel again.

I thought the hotel was clean and airy. I liked the decor and the fact that it was located on the beach. The only issue I had was with housekeeping. We stayed a total of five nights and the housekeeper only came by once to empty the trash and give us more towels. She was in and out in less than 5 minutes. She didn't take away any of the dirty towels nor did she replace the cups and glasses that we had used. We had to rewash the coffee cups and by the time we checked out all of our towels were dirty and in a pile, and the trash was overflowing. I don't understand this because everyday they were on the floor cleaning other rooms. I don't know why no one knocked on the door and asked if we needed anything. Furthermore, there's nothing you can hang on the door to request that your room be serviced. I guess aside from that it was a pretty pleasant stay. I would recommend this, but I do feel that the housekeeping team needs to tighten up their game.

Would not recommend. Little things…not enough outlets in the room; had to call for housekeeping after two days of no service so no coffee refill; Only decaf available; poor lighting in the room if you want to read at night. However, the Taproom makes a great espresso martini.
