Kind of tough to review. When we arrived, they had fairly recently developed extensive boiler issues, so no hot water the entire weekend! However, they did their very best to take care of guests who didn’t leave (they provided that option, 100 percent refund). Seemed as if most people stayed. We were provided with several meals (gratis) and free drinks during happy hour. Cold showers suck, but the hotel went out of their way to make it a nice stay regardless. We’ve been to Ashore before and won’t hesitate to go again.

Property had evacuation due to carbon monoxide leak as well no hot water at all! Room floor was covered in sand was not cleaned at all! Asked for champagne glasses was given wine glasses instead! Beach was not giving out umbrellas due to it being “windy” which was just an excuse. Overall not worth the price you pay!

Overall great place to stay. They were having hvac problems while we were there so the air conditioning wasn’t truly 65 degrees- more like 75 - so sleeping was a bit tough to adjust to those temps. Plus they were out of hot water the last 36 hours we were there because of the hvac problems, so the stay was great but tampered by those issues that sometimes just happen. Overall I’d stay here again.

It was ok. I did like that they provided beach umbrellas and chairs and the staff was very nice. The only thing they didn’t do was clean the room when asked and I guess I expected the room to be a little cleaner than they are. Not that I wouldn’t stay there again however I feel like the pictures are a little deceiving.

The room was clean and spacious. The staff was polite and helpful. Be aware that if you book a City View room on the third floor you will have absolutely no view or balcony. Those rooms look onto a roof. The windows open and are more like a sliding door so everyone on that floor has access to the roof and there are no privacy barriers. The rooftop is flat and dirty. People are able to walk around the entire area and many smoke out there. It just didn’t feel safe.

Had an amazing time at the Ashore hotel, easy walk to the beach, there was always chairs and umbrellas available, staff was very friendly and attentive, lots of places to eat near by, pool was great. Easy check in and fast. I would definitely stay at the Ashore Resort & Beach Club again!

Think Twice Before Booking This Hotel

This property needs a new company to take over. Rooms were not clean and the hotel smelled near trash barrels near ice machines from not being serviced daily. Rooms were not cleaned until after 3 calls starting at 9 am until after 3rd call at 2:30 pm! Room views were over the littered rooftop! Will never return nor would i ever recommend this Ashore hotel in Ocean City Maryland!!
