We checked in late at night on August 2nd and were told that our hotel room didn't have hot water. We were not offered any kind of refund except "free breakfast" the next morning. That "breakfast" was a few pastries and limited fruit. It was embarrassing. For a property that claims to be luxury with multiple dining options, the only place that was open was the "breakfast" bar. I think they should have at least offered to comp one of our nights or given us 50% off. We did not have hot water our entire stay.

There was a carbon monoxide leak so we did not have hot water for our entire stay (3 nights). The restaurants were also closed. The housekeeping did not clean our room while we are there. We had to ask for new towels. There was also sand and dog hair all over the floor and shower (not from us). No credit was offered for the inconvenience. We had to call the general manager and they only credited one night of our stay.

We did not stay here, we left right after we checked in. There had been a carbon monoxide leak that sent people to hospital. The unfortunate part was that the hotel did not tell us that there would be NO hot water for the weekend, we heard it from other guests. The room was not clean, covered in sand. The rug under the bed was filthy and stained. It was unfortunate from the start and was over quickly. We did get a full refund that is the best I can say.

Overall, the hotel was v nice. We did arrive to no hot water on Sat... apparently there was a carbon minoxide issue on Friday, which would have been nice to know before we drove 5 hours. Lack of communication. However, the hotel was nice, the staff helpful, they offered free cocktails and a catered dinner as well as a complimernary light breakfast the days when there was no hot water. Great coffee in the hotel shop. Not far from anything, lots of food options close by... The fact you had chairs and umbrellas for use on the beach was nice; you do have to reserve your spot early. You can also get drinks on the beach... live music daily, which was wonderful! Overall it was a nice place, clean with lots to do. Great bed. Nice bathroom. SLOW elevators. I just wish there was better communication about the carbon minoxide leak and no hot water. They did refund our resort fees for the nights with no hot water... I enjoyed it enough that I would try again. Very nice staff ! The housekeeping was SO nice! Overall I would recommend. We didn't really eat at the hotel with the water issues, just coffee and muffins; but the menus looked good and the resturant was pretty...

I loved that they provided umbrella & chairs but u had to get up early to get them, the only problem was there was a gas leak on our last day- so we had to evacuate for a few hours but they did provide breakfast & I received a discount for no hot water& distress to my dog who was on the 6 th floor - the leak was in the kitchen so no hot breakfast - no fault to the hotel , I will be returning again next year. This is our fav hotel in ocean city! ( the staff could have done a better job of cleaning the tide room , maybe have someone at nite clean up) in the morning there is garbage all over the tables -
