You get what you pay for. Overall, the stay was OK. However, the (bathroom) room was outdated. The indoor pool had a lot of hair in it. Neither of the two hot tubs worked. The Atrium restaurant inside the hotel was good. The staff was polite.

I usually don't wright a review. But this time, I feel, I have to. Be aware of BED BUGS. The property has two sections: back side and ocean front view. We booked the back side (it was lower rates). The first night, just as we were preparing to go to bed, we discovered bed bugs. We had two queen beds, the bugs were on both beds. After I reported to the night manager, we were giving a room in the beach front ocean view section. I have to say the ocean front room was much nicer it seems like back side is more rundown or may be older (I am not sure). After carefully checking the new room and not finding any signs of bugs we decided to stay, as I was seriously considering just pack and go back home. So we stayed two nights as planned. The other things was, when I talked with manager next day. The fact that she did not know about the incident from last night, was very disturbing. I would expect actions right away. She was talking about protocol she needs to follow, but I didn't sense the urgency.

Cafe was very nice and convenient. Great location on the beach. Easy walk to shops, restaurants and beer store. What I didn't like was my room (door) was directly across from the soda and snack machines.

Not as good as I thought...

I read the reviews from several places and I thought it would be dated but very clean. Well, it was very dated. Starting with the luggage cart that was very old and wobbly, small and my luggage fell off. Thankfully a staff helped me get it back together and offered to take to our room which was handicap for my mother. It was quite a long walk, up path and the smell was old musty meets an air freshener. Not very pleasant. The room had a small frig that looked like someone took a pick to it all over the freezer door and scratches below. The bathroom door had paint chipping off and scrape marks.. could of been sanded and painted....?? Bed was pretty comfortable, thank goodness! View was great from the old balcony with a chunk of the stucco missing from above the patio door...?? Cafe waitress was very friendly, food average, minimal menu. Birds were cute, very dirty cages, guess that happens but not in the best location next to the cafe..? Both people encountered at desk were not the friendliness and did not ask how our stay was...

Dingy outdated rooms. Premise looked rundown. Staff not very attentive. On the plus side Atrium cafe staff very friendly and attentive. Vicinity of hotel close to beach and attractions.

We have stayed at this hotel three times and have always enjoyed our visits. The place has some age on it but our room was clean and comfortable. We appreciate the full size refrigerator and kitchenette. The mid-town location is really nice for getting to Ocean City amenities. We will be back.

Anniversary stay

The convenience of being right on the beach was exactly what we were looking for. We stayed in a room on the third floor with a King bed, kitchenette, and a balcony to enjoy the sunrise. The room was very clean. Outdoor pool was nice. The atrium area nice to walk through to get the elevator. We were literally 1 step from the elevator outside our room, and 10 steps off the elevator to the beach. I would recommend to family and friends!!
