Not a the great hotel I was expecting from the advertised hotel. Hotel has clearly seen better days but is struggling to meet the standards advertised. Staff were excellent, the view across the city (which I paid for) was amazing. The hotel is doing the bare minimum to keep its rating. I expected better.

Upon check in we did not get the room we booked. We requested a change and were put in a slightly better room but were made to feel like we were being a pain. The next day we were finally put in the room we booked. We were not offered a complimentary upgrade or drinks as per our Expedia VIP status. Our final room however was lovely - clean, big and very comfortable. The view was great. A little noisy from the street but this was okay. The housekeeping staff are amazing! So friendly and kept our room perfectly. Also acknowledged our request to be eco friendly and not change towels etc. When are the lifts to be fixed? It’s been months now with no resolve. Not great.
