The television connection was poor. Only 2-3 channels come in. All others said no signal. Of the 2-3 channels received, they kept dropping due to poor signal.
The room was cold upon check in. Thermostat was set to Heat to 60 degrees.
The beverage fridge in the room kept making thumping noises every 10-15 minutes. There was also a loud mechanical rumble every hour or so which may be related to the boiler or mechanical system.
The event room doors were open adjacent the check-in desk. The event room was being used or storage of spare mattresses and furniture. Didn't make the best first impression.
The front desk check in clerk was great. Very helpful and pleasant.
Overall, the negatives can be justified by the low cost per night. It is an old refurbished hotel, and I would suspect it would require a lot of service to upkeep and the Owners are trying to keep maintenance costs down by keeping room heat to a minimum.
