Upon arrival to our room, we found a clean bed, no towels in room, and someone’s toe nails all over the flour. As if it harder been swept. Two days later the hotel guest manager asked if we received or VIP package upon entering our room, which included wine and cheese additionally a later. I told home we had wine and a letter addressed to the wrong people. I also explained to our room safe was not functioning and needed to be replaced. He was apologetic and embarrassed embarrassed. He corrected the dirty floors, lack of towels, replaced safe and gave us towels. And for the inconvenience he gave a a free dinner (which was an all inclusive vacation for us anyways, so would have been free regardless). But he made an effort to correct the problem and that is what mattered to us. After going to Barceló for a few years I am realizing that their quality in there presentation,
staff, rooms, food all around the quality is declining rapidly. It’s sad. Been going with a large group for 25+ years. Hope things can change an we can continue to got there.
