Front staff were lovely and welcoming. Hôtel was tucked away down a quieter street but still was part of the Parisian busyness which we appreciated. The room was small but we expected it to be! Beds were very comfortable!

This hotel was perfect for our week in Paris: it is close to the metro and other sights and attractions. Many great restaurants nearby. Fatima was an amazing help for many things. Her knowledge of Paris and ways to navigate it made our visit so efficient and enjoyable

Very comfortable room and beds. The ice from their ice machines is really, really good! The delicious crunchy kind. It was hot so we were refilling our cups with ice every couple hours. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to the Metro, it made the whole of Paris feel very accessible.

Enjoying the Pulse of Le Marais

Hotel du Plat d'Etain is a terrific place to stay to experience the daily flow of life in Paris. By which I mean: the hotel's in the Marais district, nicely situated amid blocks where restaurants and cafes abound; where a local metro (serving the #4 & #8 lines) is just 2 blocks away. I was able to navigate my way to the hotel from CDG Airport easily. It's a spot from where you can get to so many different neighborhoods in a flash--the ease of getting to Left and Right Bank sights surprised me. That's a real value to staying here. The hotel itself: the rooms are neat, small, and well-cleaned; I loved the shower--terrific water pressure. The staff was attentive, friendly, and informative. As a not-fluent French speaker, I was grateful that the staff was multi-lingual. Breakfast is served at the hotel; but you can get fresher croissants and better brewed coffee at local cafes for half the price. All in all, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat, and I hope I'll have the chance soon again to do so!

Very polite and helpful staff especially Gymie. Very good choices for breakfast. Comfortable and clean beds and bathroom. Very near to a metro. Walking distance to grocery store and restaurant/ bakeries. Walking distance to some attractions. The only negative is the AC in room 310 is not working during the 2 nights we stayed there. Still, I would recommend this hotel for family and friends.

The staff is friendly, beds are comfy and the breakfast is good. My main complaint is that you're not allowed to control the thermostat in your room. You have to call the front desk to have therm turn on the A/C and set the temperature. Another significant issue is that one of the night clerks smokes marihuana and as you enter the lobby ( after 11pm) you encounter a very strong Marijuana smell.

Quaint Friendly Staff

The front desk staff was very helpful with directions, transportation and dining options. It was nice to be close to Metro and buses. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel. The room was always well cleaned daily. However a large person could not fit in the shower and The pillows need replacing. Being able to control the room temperature without a blasting fan provided a very comfortable environment.

The property is in a good location with plenty of places to eat. The staff is great. The hotel is a boutique so super small. The elevator we had to take one at a time with luggage because it is small. Your room key has the hotel name and number of your room on it so when you leave the hotel they ask you return your key and collect back when you return because if you lost it, then your information is on the key. The room is extremely small. A childs desk, we have three beds which was great but hardly any room to move around in. They offer breakfast and it smelled great but there is also many eating establishments in the neighborhood to chose from. The small size of the room would probably be our reason not to return but location, staff and cleanliness along with safe is a reason to stay if a extremely small room does not bother you.
