It’s excellent located, very friendly and helpful staff that speak many languages. We love the breakfast area and croissants were so delicious! We stayed a weekend 3 nights and have 2 different rooms. The one with the balcony was very nice for the balcony but the bathtub really high not for old people.in their website advertised that it has AC but it didn’t work in any room and they said ii wasn’t hot.(we wanted just to cool off. Sunday night we didn’t have water to flush toilet, wash our hands or shower but they offer a bathroom in the first floor and we were in the fifth floor so we couldn’t go in the middle of the night until we left 7 am. We couldn’t shower before travel. I’m not sure what was the real problem or if this happened often.

Very nice, accommodating staff - stored our luggage. Good location. Hotel very much needs renovation. At a minimum a paint job (scuffed walls & baseboards throughout, old discoloured grout, old carpets). So don't expect any ambiance, just sleep & go. Beds are comfortable.

The hotel is ideally located on the Rue di Rivoli, almost across the street from the Hotel de Ville and a short walk from Notre Dame, with a Starbucks only a couple of blocks away. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, but modest enough to afford on a budget. Mostly it was the staff, who were always friendly and prompt with any needed help. An added bonus is a laundromat just a stone's throw away in back. Note that it's an automated laundromat with no attendants and the instructions are all in French, so be ready with a translator app on your phone.

Property is old and has that "old smell". The photos on Expedia are nothing like the real thing. Rooms are small, no fridge and TV only in french. Aircon was broken and by looks has been for a while. Elevator was tiny and 2 people and 2 suitcases just fitted with a lot of sqeezing or walked up the stairs. Staff were pleasant and location of hotel was close to most attractions, if not Metro station or buses were nearby.

Most of the front desk staff was nice and helpful. The hotel smelled stuffy and needed to have windows open in order to ventilate; there was a water vacuum constantly running on the second floor due to pipe burst and flooding. No phone in room, no mirrors other than in bathroom. Tiles in bathroom under sink were broken and there was a hole in the wall with exposed drainpipes. Very high bathtubs difficult to maneuver. Had to be asking for clean towels every day; had to ask for shower gel and shampoo on the first night of our 8-night stay as it was not replaced. The breakfast staff was not very friendly, and the items provided were limited. Common area living room was pleasant for afternoon and evening gathering with family and friends, coffee and tea was complimentary. The furniture in this room is in very bad condition. Friends traveling with us had a room on the 3rd floor across the hall from us and their bathroom constantly smelled of sewer. Management was not accommodating to issues encountered. Will not return.

If all you want is a bed...that is all this room had. Very small space. "Courtyard view" was a nasty, dirty pipe chase without even a view of the sky. Room was so small, I could touch both sides with my open arms.

Overall was a nice stay. Definitely a good location since most of the monuments were within walking distance. Got a bit hot over the last few days and the room was like a sweat box but other than that was a nice stay.
